Garret was a genial conversationalist like Jerry Brown...

There are a few liberals who actually have enough table manners so you wouldn’t have to worry about them ruining things for other guests if you invited them over.

I could not sit down at a table with Ray Taliafero or Bernie Ward...

I could not sit down at a table with Ray Taliafero or Bernie Ward... - - Yeah, no foolin!

I can listen to Dr. Dean or Gene Burns until they get into their anti-religion moods.

I really miss Pete Wilson. Although he was unabashedly liberal, he was also entertaining, and would acknowledge that a conservative viewpoint existed.

KGO used to have an afternoon curmudgeon that I enjoyed, but I can't remember his name. I think he moved to North Carolina.

I enjoyed Duane and called in a few times. He knew the Clintons were scum.
