I can listen to Dr. Dean or Gene Burns until they get into their anti-religion moods.
I really miss Pete Wilson. Although he was unabashedly liberal, he was also entertaining, and would acknowledge that a conservative viewpoint existed.
KGO used to have an afternoon curmudgeon that I enjoyed, but I can't remember his name. I think he moved to North Carolina.
I used to tune in once in a while. Heard him one night when he had his teenage daughter on with him. I think it was “Bring Your Daughter to Work day”.
They were talking about abortion, and the girl had already been brainwashed.
He and Ray use dirty tricks on conservative callers, yet they let moonbats prattle on unchallenged.
You’re thinking of Jim Eason, I think.
Interestingly enough, Jim was pretty liberal back in the late ‘70’s and early 80’s, then began to list rightward toward the end of his career. His shift began almost coincidentally with the advent of Rush’s appearance nationally.
He was probably more libertarian than conservative, however.
One other note...I know Pete Wilson had a pretty good following, but personally, I think he was dumber than a stick (may he RIP), and I mean dumb, like low IQ.
I heard him say some things early on when he first started to fill in on the talk shows that caused me to come to that conclusion.
My impression was that he was a typical local TV news anchor, without a lot of substance.
He may have changed lately...I just haven’t heard him since he got the show on a regular basis.
