The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) has learned that Makvan Mouloodzadeh, a 21-year old Iranian citizen of Kurdish origin from the city of Paveh, in the Western province of Kermanshah, has been sentenced by the government to execution. Makvan has been convicted of multiple counts of anal rape and sentenced to execution for crimes allegedly committed when he was 13 years old. IGLHRC calls for an international response to stop this scheduled execution.
Imposing the death penalty for crimes committed by juveniles is prohibited under international law as well as by the Iranian legal system. In addition, IGLHRC calls on the international community to condemn the use of the death penalty as a punishment for any sex or morality-related crime, whether consensual or non-consensual, as unnecessarily extreme. In this case, since none of the alleged victims ever claimed to have been raped, and all of them admitted to the court that their initial accounts of sexual intercourse with Makvan were false and had been acquired under coercion, the imposition of the death penalty is especially objectionable.

“Consider the source of the story. There is more to this.”
Well don’t keep it to yourself. Tell us!
The source has little credibility. However, the country's leaders they are targetting have even less. If the Lunatics in Iran said Joe Shmo had "bad morals", my first assumption would be that he was a great guy.
If I knew I would but since this group is has an agenda I don't believe we are getting all of the details.
Why do I not believe either side?
Big EWWWWW! factor for sure, but I give them credit for standing up to Islam: something the feminists (and democrats) sure as hell won’t do when women are pummeled over there.
That is a reasonable assumption but not always true.
I don't either.
Why is it that anything to do with “Gay” around here automatically means guilty ? This in itself is enough to give anyone the benefit of doubt.
In the absence of adequate evidence, the judge used an Iranian legal principle known as “Knowledge of the Judge,” to declare that he was certain Makvan had raped his victims. According to the Iranian legal code, when there is not enough evidence to convict a defendant of sexual crimes, the judge may use his knowledge (in a deductive process based on the evidence that already exists) to determine whether the crime took place or not.
I bet its true this time. Iranian authorities kill capriciously and always blame it on bad morals. They are at least as evil and arbitrary as Hitler and the other Socialist fanatics. In this way they are like Stalin, they usually kill the functional and leave the incompetents alone, all for ideological reasons.
I know, Sorry. I was referring to the postings that never question , even in a place like Iran, the possibility of a "gay " person being innocent.
If this was merely juvenile fun and games, did he stop it when he attained legal adult status according to Iranian law?
There are 13 year old sex offenders. HOWEVER, the odds that this man actually is guilty is certainly in doubt. Pope John Paul 2 was reluctant to persue accusations of homosexuality, because it was used by the Communists as a political hammer on opponents. The same hammer could be being used against the accused in this case.
The other possiblity - this individual was raped, and the Iranian regime is executing him for the crime of being a perpetrator.
This creep deserves to die...
Whel, this is an international gay organization, so it is naturally part of their portfolio.
I think the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission should send a team of their finest over to Tehran to picket and protest in the streets. I’m sure they will be welcomed with open arms and they can teach the Mullas to appreciate “diversity”.
