Interesting, thanks Fred. Someone I know online has a family history (centuries-old business records of some sort) regarding Scandinavian ancestors’ trade with the Far East via the then-open passage through the Arctic Ocean, IOW, west to east, south from the Bering Strait. Your map fits.

The map’s nuts. There’s no evidence the Norse ventured beyond the coasts of northeastern North America, and the placing of Helluland, Markland, and Vinland on the Pacific Ocean is farcical.
