You have just insulted millions of fundimentalist Christians who DO believe that the Bible is the literal word of God and is not open to interpretation.
Most people who are quick to comment on the Bible don't know squat about its literary structure, historical context or spiritual meaning.
The debate is not really about who is offended, and I, one who literally believes Genesis knows full well there is not one word that is Written that dates the age of this earth. The 'data' we are given allows a best guess how long ago man in flesh bodies were formed. We are told that the Adam was not living until the breath of life (soul) was breathed into his nostrils. What is to be found, planted by others is instruction that this planet is multiples of millions of years old. Peter says there was a heaven/earth age prior to this one and another one yet to come.
There is ample evidence planted all over this earth that demonstrates there is nothing young about it, the youthfulness of this 'age' is man in flesh bodies. However, because of the 'there is no God' mentality shoved by the evolutionary welfare elites the majority of 'creationists' recoil at every valid discovery demonstrating this earth is NOT young.
Millions? You have data or stats to back that up?
What denominations have that stated as a matter of doctrine.
Meowmeow, another demonstration of the deliberate confusing of the terms *true* and *literal*.
Your statement reminds me of one of those "warnings" periodically sent from the middle east wackos in regards to "things" desecrating their ...oh, so pure religion.
Are you going to incite a riot because of that?
It looks to me that fanaticism works both ways.
