Yes, he’d been charged with brandishing a pistol at a couple of guys who’d stolen a vehicle of his earlier and, again as I read it, he probably simply hadn’t been able to get around to buying another pistol after the ban expired. But there is simply no possible decent rationale for denying somebody the right to protect himself in his own home.

In Florida this minor CAN be tried as an adult. I would think the celebrity of the victim will move this right along.

Always hard to know what’s fact and what’s rumormongering in these situations but it’s hard to say murder wasn’t on someones mind when get their gun, hop into their car, drive 150 miles in the middle of the night to your home, break into your home and realizing that you are in your bedroom, they kick your bedroom door in and shoot you.
