In his speech released yesterday Abou Omar Al Baghdadi the supposed leader of the Islamic State in Iraq which is Al Qaeda in Iraq said that only two hundered Mohajeroon are left in Iraq. Mohajeroon which means immigrants in Arabic are the foreign terrorists who came to fight in Iraq. This is yet the most stunning admission by Al Qaeda in Iraq that they are totally destroyed and from the tens of thousands of foreign terrorists they had, almost all of them are killed and captured and only two hundreds are left.
This is the quote translation of what Al Baghdadi said in his latest speech: with all that, the Mouhajeron in Mesopotamia left the world and went quickly to meet their lord after they sacrificed their money and their blood sometimes in the martyrdom operations and sometimes by throwing themselves in front of the enemy that only two hundreds Mouhajeron are left today in our beloved Iraq "
We won this war.
God bless President Bush and all our brave troops.
Did he say how many iraqi qaeda left out there?
I read on aljazeera English website for the leader of the iraqi muslim scholars that 95% of alqaeda in Iraq are iraqis!
Thank you very much my FRiend, I am sure some of these bloggers you mentioned already know about this thread and they are welcome to put it in their websites.
Thank you very much JAN :)
and here is the deal, if you 200 come out with your hands up, we’ll give you free room and board on a nice warm tropical island for life. :)
I was just thinking about something that the demonRATs (and some pubs) who are against the war have been saying for years now: “You can’t occupy a muslim country and fight an insurgency successfully because for every terrorist or insurgent you kill you are inflaming 10 or 20 more to become terrorists.” Well, this little fact you have uncovered has sure put the lie to that sacred “truth” of the anti-Bushbots.
bttt
I figured that, I was just surprised that it was available for the different script.
Of course, the source of the “only 200 left” info could be the same source that gave us the NIE on Iran... ;’)
Exactly. The fact is when you kill a lot of terrorists their numbers will eventually be greatly reduced.
December 4, 2007: U.S. military leaders in Iraq are debating whether they should declare victory over Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI).
Major strides have been taken against the organization, but the group has not been defeated
yet. This kind of talk helps reduce the Al Qaedas standing in Iraq and worldwide, but a small group can still carry out catastrophic attacks.
Al Qaeda in Iraq has lost thousands of members over the past year. The group is fragmented and has lost the support of the local populace and Al Qaeda senior leadership. AQI is unable to gather large forces any more, mainly because Iraqi and American military forces and Concerned Local Citizens confront and defeat it.
Already, the group relies on regional commands and soon those commands will fragment. This has already occurred in Anbar Province. Areas of AQI activity remain isolated in the country. Being isolated, AQI becomes easier to target.
Militarily, AQI is staring directly at defeat. The 2006 US Army Counterinsurgency Manual states, "Victory is achieved when the populace consents to the governments legitimacy and stops actively and passively supporting the insurgency." In the past month, the Concern Local Citizens program has exploded. Starting with the Anbar Awakening, it is now over 67,000 strong consisting of Sunnis, Shiites, and Former Regime members.
The debate over whether to declare victory, however, continues. First, it adds to the rhetoric of progress in Iraq. From this rhetoric, the media-sensitive Al Qaeda will suffer further reduced morale. At home, the debate will help direct the focus on developments within the country.
The caveat remains; AQI is still a viable terrorist organization. It does not take a lot of manpower or funds to conduct a major attack. The reduction of violence allows the populace to become less vigilant. Improved infrastructure creates more targets. If victory were hastily declared, a major attack would greatly reduce public support. AQI has survived a number of large-scale operations and could continue to survive.
Al Qaeda in Iraq has not been defeated, but its end is near.
Yep.
“I haven’t figured out completely why the Ron Paul cult is interested in our failure when we are winning?”
A good percentage of the public has been sucked in by the anti-Bush media and never hear this kind of news.
I agree, we won the war in the Iraqi theater.
Now it’s time for a new mock banner, same message but completely different people holding it...... AQI’s 200 or so survivors (of the moment) looking extremely scruffy and filthy and harried like they just crawled out of their holes, holding a large banner that says.....
“JON CARY HALP US WE R STUK HIR IN IRAK!”
[Hilary, Obama, kant any1 halp us pliz?]
[could some FReeper make a cartoon of that please???]
The last shred of hope for AQI and for Al Qaeda worldwide is that they can pressure through the MSM to help the Demagogues rescue them somehow. Doesn’t seem like it can still happen, it’s too late for them, but the MSM and the Demagogues like Jon Cary are their last hope.
