| WASHINGTON, Dec. 4, 2007 The national intelligence estimate released yesterday on Irans nuclear program proves that Iran is still a threat to world peace and provides an opportunity for the international community to work together to persuade the countrys current regime to stop its uranium enrichment program, President Bush said here today.
Although the estimate says Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003, it also states with high confidence that Iran had a covert nuclear weapons program that it has never acknowledged and continues to deny, Bush said in a White House news conference. This opens up the possibility that Iran could develop another covert weapons program and could transfer the knowledge of uranium enrichment, which the country has been pursuing since 2005, to that program, Bush said.
I think it is very important for the international community to recognize the fact that if Iran were to develop the knowledge that they could transfer to a clandestine program, it would create a danger for the world, Bush said. So I view this report as a warning signal.
Bush denied allegations that this latest estimate damages U.S. credibility because it points out that Irans weapons program was halted, but U.S. leaders continued to warn of the impending danger of a nuclear Iran. Iran still is a threat to the stability of the Middle East, he said, because uranium enrichment is the most important step in developing nuclear weapons.
Iran was dangerous, Iran is dangerous, and Iran will be dangerous if they have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon, Bush said, asserting that his opinion about Iran has not changed.
The intelligence estimate also found that diplomacy worked in the past to dissuade Iran from its nuclear weapons program. This proves that there is a better way forward for Iran, Bush said, and now is the time for the international community to come together and work toward a diplomatic solution.
The best way to ensure that the world is peaceful in the future is for the international community to continue to work together to say to the Iranians, Were going to isolate you, however, there is a better way forward for the Iranians, Bush said.
Bush complimented the intelligence community for its work on the intelligence estimate. This report proves that reforms of the U.S. intelligence community have worked, and it is important for the public to see the facts about Iran, he said.
I think the (national intelligence estimate) makes it clear that Iran needs to be taken seriously as a threat to peace, Bush said. My opinion hasnt changed. If you want to avoid a really problematic situation in the Middle East, nows the time to work together. Thats our message to our allies.

The fact is that the discovery of Plutonium Blanks in Syria as gathered by the IDF after an air raid there last September, from North Korea,is the determining incident. The incident brough the North Koreans to the negotiating table, and severed China;s public support of North Korea's regime( while likely surreptitiously helping North Korea give the Iranians nuclear tech. in return for lucrative oil deals.Kim Jong Il was likely getting the viggy, a per centage on the oil deal.) Now the Chinese and the NOrth Koreans are patronising the USA, and dangling the peace proposals in fromt of the USA so that we take our eyes off of the real shite thats going on in Iran.
Bush is having none of it, and maximizing the situation to have North Korea dismantle its nukes. Good on him. But the damage has been done. Iran likley has all the tech it needs and now only needs time, which the Chicoms and the Norkies are trying to create in the so called " peace process."
Watch and listen to what the Israelis have to say. They know the real deal, and are not about to allow Iran to seize control of the ME. Thats what the tallks in Annapolis are about, unifying the Sunnis against the Shia pigs , who think teir time has come to conquer the world with their 12th Immam. What a joke!
If it was not for the treasonous Dems in congress we would have Iran by the tail, and twisting it until they stood down , or deposed the backward fundamentalist regime that now controls that country. The sooner these Islamofascists are gone from power in Iran, the better the world will be.
Get out of the way Dems, and let Dubyah swing his axe!

So Bush’s chest beating induced Iran to abandon their nuke program. That means that when Iran test a nuclear bomb on Hillary’s watch, she’s got no one to blame but herself.

Anyone who thinks Iran is not a threat to us or to the western world has not been paying attention to what the
Iranian leadership has been saying for over twenty years.
Clean the democrat chicken shit out of your ears and wake up America.

I would like to read the transcripts of those back door meetings the Rats
are holding with seditious revolt against the USA. I couldn't begin to imagine
the hyperbole being discussed. How can one even start the meeting? Does it
start like this, "We are here today to discuss the destruction of the US Armed Forces in Iraq
in order to loose this war. Now, who would like to begin"?

Take care of Iran now, or get our soldiers out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

BTW, that's BS: doubletalk. It's a Republican Administration, and our repeatedly rearranged security is not Democrat. ...same as Democrat on defense, though.
I won't vote for another one regardless of his accent and association with any balkanizing subgroup imitating old Europe. ...no more closet Buchananites.

The only way to make sure Iran poses no threat is to wipe them out. Nuke their nuclear plants and all their major populaton centers.
Iran is a threat to Israel (our ally) and to us. They must be destroyed. Who was it started each speech with “Carthage must be destroyed?” (I think the Latin is ‘Cartago delanda est.’) That’s my attitude toward Iran.
