Serbia's political makeup has been shaped according to western, primarily American taste. The leadership is forced to only say "duialogue, dialogue, dialogue." Force is not an option. The time when NATO could have been drawn in and subjected to Iraqi-style guerrilla resistance is over.The military now has politically correct pro-western leadership too.
The billboard is for domestic consumption. It's a "feel-good" (spite), which is the only thing that's left in Serbia's arsenal. Simply put: Serbia sold out along with all the other Eastern European countries to the west.
Albanian thusg in Kosovo will have their state by the will of Washington. Like all states, Kosovo will live for a while until the geopolitical situation changes and brings changes to Kosovo along with them. Thirty years ago the Soviet Union was a reality. Things change drastically in a decade even. Independent Kosovo will be extinguished when Serbia re-absorbs what is rightfully hers. But it will have to be done in another time and another reality.
In regards to the use of Churchill, one must admit that the Simovic coup was a total disaster for Serbs and that Prince Paul and Stojadinovic were right. Had there been no coup, there would have been no NDH, no Ustashi, no Skanderbeg, no Handzar SS, and Tito’s Partisans would have been easily dealt with since their main source of support wouldn’t have existed without the excesses of the NDH regime.
