SAN FRANCISCO - Conservative radio talk show host Michael Savage sued an Islamic rights group today for rebroadcasting on its Web site several excerpts from his show in which he called the Quran a "book of hate" and said Muslims "need deportation."
Savage, in a suit filed in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, said the Council on American-Islamic Relations had violated copyright law by using the excepts in a campaign to persuade advertisers to stop sponsoring his show.
In the excerpts, Savage calls the Quran a "hateful little book," says Muslims "breed bombers" and asserts that the religion of Islam seeks to "convert or kill" nonbelievers.
The council, in rebroadcasting the excerpts, urges visitors to its Web site to complain to Savage's advertisers.

Sanfransicko article on the SAVAGE v. CAIR lawsuit
Last night Savage said he suspects it was a presidential candidates campaign that supplied CAIR with the tape.
Savage is right on this! Go Savage.
Hey loopy Hoopy, yer WRONG. The American Consumer has the RIGHT to subsidize whom ever they choose!
I choose not to give you a rats rear! Go back to satans sandbox and have sex with six year olds, like your poorfit!
“suspects it was a presidential candidates”
Did he say which one? I missed about half the show last nite.
Who are the capitulating advertisers he’s losing? They need to hear from the rest of us, not just CAIR.
Savage calls the Quran a “hateful little book,” says Muslims “breed bombers” and asserts that the religion of Islam seeks to “convert or kill” nonbelievers.....And the problem is?....
“Who are the capitulating advertisers hes losing? They need to hear from the rest of us, not just CAIR.”
Office Max is one. I already told them they lost my business and that i would try my best to get others to stop doing business there. They wrote back and said something like “We’re a family oriented business and we want to avoid controversey” ...something like that.
Cair says Universal Orlando has stopped their advertising. The article also aludes to but does not directly connect the following to CAIR’s particular complaint, but these may be due to other incidences. Time to cancel the reservations?
“Advertisers that have already stopped airing, or refuse to air commercials on “Savage Nation” include AutoZone, Citrix, TrustedID, JCPenney, OfficeMax, Wal-Mart, and AT&T.” - CAIR Website
I (of course) agree with Savage’s comments about Islam and the CAIR thugs, but, at first glance, I have my reservations about this lawsuit. I could see how it might have a chilling effect on legitimate protected speech, and, if successful, could have implications on fair use that extend far beyond CAIR.
Brigitte Gabriel at American Congress for Truth (americancongressfortruth.org) has a campaign to actively support the advertisers who are sticking with Savage.
I'm going to patronize as many of Savage's sponsors as possible. That is my right, as it also also my right--and obligation--to keep my country free from creeping dhimmitude.
I'd like to ask Hooper if he thinks what Savage says is "hate", what he would call thousands of his co-religionists in the streets, armed with swords, calling for the death of an English schoolteacher. That's just one example out of many that I'd like to ask him about.
Good, the islammunists are telling real Americans where to stop shopping. Maybe we need a website telling us which advertisers are willing to stand up for the truth about islammofacism.
CAIR's days are numbered anyway.
“Savage calls the Quran a hateful little book,
Um, well it is.
Every other page is about attacking infidels(anyone non-muslim)

Whether you like Savage or not is not the issue. We can't let a terrorist group, who stated they want shariah law in the US, get away with silencing free speech.
We are not in a stalinist nation.
Please take the time to contact the companies that pulled out of the Savage Nation and let them know you will no longer buy from them.
