It seems that Gay Keith, the Clinton plant, was not a Brigadier General and he served only in the reserves. I received this note from retired Brigadier General William Becker:

IN SPITE OF MY CURRENT DISTRACTIONS AT HOME I AM FORCED TO ENTER THE PUBLIC ARENA TO EXPRESS MY OUTRAGE AT THE CURRENT REPUBLICAN DEBATE AS MANAGED BY CNN.

GAY KEITH IS NOT A BRIGADIER GENERAL. HE IS NOT EVEN AN ACTIVE DUTY RETIRED ARMY OFFICER. HE SPENT HIS YEARS AS A RESERVIST SOLELY IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA MILITARY BUREAUCRACY. HIS BIO IS PUBLISHED IN THE GAY ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO VOIDING THE "DON'T ASK DON'T TELL" POLICY.

FOR DETAILS. YOU MUST NOTE THAT KERR WAS RETIRED FROM THE INACTIVE ARMY RESERVES IN THE GRADE OF COLONEL. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW YEARS SERVED ON ACTIVE DUTY AS A LIEUTENANT HIS ENTIRE SERVICE WAS IN THE RESERVES IN CALIFORNIA. HE WAS PLACED IN RETIRED RESERVE STATUS WITH THE CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD RESERVES AND PROMOTED TO BRIGADIER GENERAL IN THAT FEDERALLY UNRECOGNIZED STATUS.

THIS IS CONSIDERED AN "HONORARY" TITLE SIMILAR TO THE PHD AWARDED BY UNIVERSITIES AS HONORARIUM. WE WOULD NEVER REFER TO SUCH AWARDEES AS "DOCTOR". IT IS ALSO NOTEWORTHY THAT HE WAS A GRADUATE OF UC BERKELEY AND

SERVED AS AN INSTRUCTOR IN ACADEMIA. HE HAS NO COMBAT EXPERIENCE DURING HIS 43 YEARS OF "SERVICE" AND IT IS A DISGRACE FOR HIM TO BE ASSOCIATED BY THE MEDIA WITH THE ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY!!!!

THANKS FOR LISTENING TO THE VOICE OF WRATH OF THIS OLD MILITARY AVIATOR. BRIGADIER GENERAL BILL BECKER UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, RETIRED COMBAT VETERAN WWII, KOREA, VIETNAM

“Campenni said the rank of general is not federally recognized and the title can not be used or the rank worn outside the state.”

That is correct. I was in the Air Guard for seven years and here is how it works:

The federal government will provide the pay, and federally recognize an officer up to the rank of (full-bird) Colonel, O-6.

The states are allowed to provide additional promotions to any of these Colonels, up to two stars (Major General), I think. The states are also required to make up for the additional pay that a General officer makes above the Colonel pay.

And, as was stated, if an office carries a general office rank in the state, he must wear his federally recognized rank outside the state.

This sounds funny, and I can’t prove it.... but...

It is my understanding that two states hold votes (or at least did it in the past) for the Adjutant General of the state Army/Air Guard. Most are appointed by the governor of the state.

I had heard that at one time (about 20 years ago), those two states (southern states, I think) had elected an E-6 and an E-4 for Adjutant General. Those AGs wore the Brigadier General stars within their states, but had to wear their enlisted ranks outside the state. I can’t prove that story, but it was told to me by my former guard supervisor, who would be one to trust.

Rush had an interesting caller at the end of yesterday’s show. This caller was one of those chosen by CNN to ask a question and was flown to the debate. While the caller did not get to ask his question on air, he was flown there to make a video of his experience. He was given a camera by CNN to make this video. He was also given an extensive tour of the CNN support site.

Here’s what’s interesting. During the tour with the General along, they encountered the debate moderator who greated the General like an old friend. Inside the CNN control center, the CNN personnel there greated the General as an old friend. So much for CNN not knowing this guy.

The caller also implied that CNN may have helped the General with us UTube video. Evidently, the general has only published the one video on UTube.

I expect Rush to expand more on this today after doing a bit of fact checking.

LOL...another Clinton screw-up, pardon the pun, and Hillary will “have no idea” how it happened. What a disaster this over-reaching failure as a wife and senator would be for the country! The Peter Principle lives.

RUSH: We go to Gordon in Portage, Indiana. Welcome, Gordon, to the EIB Network.

CALLER: Rush?

RUSH: Hi.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Hey, I was one of the YouTubers who was invited down to St. Petersburg to ask a question.

RUSH: Wait, wait, wait, wait. You mean you submitted a YouTube question and they chose yours?

CALLER: That's correct.

RUSH: And then they flew you down to Tampa-St. Petersburg?

CALLER: That's correct.

RUSH: What was yours?

CALLER: My question was on treason. If you go to YouTube you can put in "treason" and find my question. It was about the media and their treason, and I wanted to ask the candidates if they were going to enforce the laws on treason.

RUSH: Well, now, they didn't choose your question.

CALLER: Yeah, amazing, isn't it? (laughing) CNN gets to choose the questions.

RUSH: Yet they flew you in.

CALLER: Yes. They also wanted me to cover the debate and I uploaded a lot of video about the debate and interviews with Peter King and George Allen and various things like that. They had me in the second row.

RUSH: Wait a minute. What do you do for a living?

CALLER: Sometimes I'm a political consultant. (laughing) Sometimes I do a lot of different things in politics. I have a blog page and do that kind of thing. My question got over just over 14,000 hits on YouTube, probably the most hit question on YouTube.

RUSH: Are you a Republican?

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: Okay. So they got your question. They saw your question. They flew you down there. They knew that you did work in political consultancy?

CALLER: Probably. They knew from all my videos what I had said on there.

RUSH: But you're not in the media per se. You don't have a media gig.

CALLER: No, other than my own GordonBloyerShow.com, which is a website.

RUSH: Right. You're entrepreneur and so forth.

CALLER: Right, right. I had a public background.

RUSH: Yet they're asking you to take videos and interview people and do what with them?

CALLER: And put 'em up on YouTube. YouTube was going to have... They brought down six of us, and there was two Obama people, there was a Kucinich guy, which I thought was kind of strange to have those people there.

RUSH: A Kucinich guy at the Republican debate?

CALLER: Yes, right, and he's a prominent Democrat. He works for Kucinich. He actually works for Kucinich doing videos for Kucinich. He brought his camera that Kucinich gave him to do the videos.

RUSH: (laughter) It's not funny, but I can't help laughing about it.

CALLER: Right. Well, wait 'til you hear this. So we all get there, and I meet General Kerr, and as they're taking us on a tour, Anderson Cooper comes out to give us all that talk and he sees --

RUSH: Wait, wait, wait, wait. Gave you a tour of what, the studio?

CALLER: Yeah, the truck outside the event, you know, where they --

RUSH: Oh, yeah.

CALLER: -- do all the goodies.

RUSH: Propagandizing?

CALLER: Right. And so here we all come up there, and Anderson Cooper comes out, and he immediately recognizes the general. He says, "Oh, General Kerr. I'm glad you're here." He didn't recognize any of the rest of us, but he recognized him real easy.

RUSH: He did, eh?

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: Cooper recognized Kerr?

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: Well, he's been on CNN. We found it. He was on CNN back in 2003, and I think it might have been Anderson Cooper's show.

CALLER: I'm not sure of that, but, yeah, I saw that on the FreeRepublic.com and they had the complete transcript. But then they took us into the little bus, and as I'm going up into the bus -- and I have this on video, and you can see it on YouTube. I had this on video. I'm going into the bus, and you can hear the people on the bus saying, "Oh, welcome, General." They immediately recognized the general.

RUSH: Who was on the bus? All of you that were flown in?

CALLER: Some of us that were taken up there, and all the people who worked for CNN who are doing behind the scenes stuff in the little office. It's their headquarters, like the NFL has their headquarters outside the stadium.

RUSH: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

CALLER: They gave us a little speech. I got part of that, you can see that on YouTube.

RUSH: Hey, General, good to see you again -- and they claim they didn't know anything about the guy!

CALLER: First of all, the guy had never had anything on YouTube until August, and the only thing he had was his question. So the question tonight when he's on TV on a prominent television show should be asked, general, who -- and he says two people told him he should ask a question. Well, who gave him the camera? Who videotaped him? Who set him up with a YouTube account? Who put him up there -- and you'll find that on his YouTube account he has now uploaded one video since then, and that's because YouTube gave every one of us a camera when we got down there, as a gift, and it's real easy to upload video to YouTube with this camera, a flip video camera.

RUSH: Have you offered to go public with any other media on this to try to explain what happened, and have you been accepted or rejected?

CALLER: Uh, so far nobody's contacted me. I sent out releases and sent out copies of my video. I explain this on YouTube, on my YouTube site: Gordon Bloyer Show.

RUSH: (chuckling)

CALLER: You can put that in and you'll find all the videos on the debate on my YouTube page, and I sent that out to a number of the news media, and nobody's called me.

RUSH: Everybody wants their 15 minutes. Okay, this is fascinating. "Hey, General, good to see you!" says Anderson Cooper, a lot of people in the bus. "Hey, General, good to see you." The general had never submitted a video prior to this, right? Is that what you said?

CALLER: Right. Wait 'til you hear this. Now they're taking us through the hall and CNN has a person come up and says, "Now, if your question is used tonight and we give you a microphone, you're not to get on a soapbox and make a speech." Yet, they let the general get on and get on the soapbox and make a speech. You'll notice the other gentleman -- who's my friend there -- who made his question, all he said was... They asked him whether he got an answer and he gave a very short answer because he was told and he follows instructions --

RUSH: Yeah, he said one word. He said, no. I didn't get an answer. The general, General Kerr, did launch into a speech. We all noticed this.

CALLER: Yes. Well, my friend said a little bit more than no, but not much.

RUSH: He'd still be making a speech if the crowd hadn't booed him silent.

CALLER: Which I was doing, booing. (laughter) Well, see, that was the interesting thing. Who were all these people that were cheering for the general at one point, after he asked his question?

RUSH: Exactly.

CALLER: You know?

RUSH: There were a lot of cheers on oddball questions that were asked all night. Well, you can't... Gordon, even without your eyewitness testimony, I will not believe that everybody in that hall was a Republican. I will not believe that anything that happened in there was spontaneous, and you can talk all you want about CNN's questions and so forth, the YouTube question, but they chose those questions, and so therefore those questions were not the ones submitted. They were the ones CNN wanted, and they had 5,000 to choose from. Look, I'm glad you called, Gordon. Thanks much.

Hell’s bell’s. I was a draftee in 66 . I read his resume after listening to him on CNN debate.

His real active duty rank was 1st Louie. He got his REAR admrial rank from the gay active diddle service.

As real as Kerry’s metals.

My grandfather was named a Kentucky Colonel for being a good volunteer in Louisville. I think Col. Saunders of KFC fame held the same honor. No one ever addressed my grandfather as “colonel” after the ceremony was over...

Wow -- I missed the story, so it's breaking for me too. How low will the stoop to fool the American people? There once was a time when those employed in the Enemedia would have checked someone's credentials. Now they won't allow college students to ask real questions about the environment of a democratic candidate and they are complicit in lie upon lie in attempting to make the republican candidates look bad. Wasn't this only 1 of 4 Hillary plants who were allowed to ask questions at the debate? No wonder people have no faith in our "news" enemedia. They make up news and take the side of the enemy. They don't deserve our trust.

Is there something wrong with the being in the Reserves.?

Plenty of reservists are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, while never having previously served on active duty.
