Background: Protesters clash over Pasadena man who shot suspected burglars

Riot police were on the scene in a Pasadena neighborhood Sunday afternoon as a planned protest teetered on the brink of mayhem.
Quanell X and his followers planned to meet in front of the home of Joe Horn, the man who shot and killed two suspected burglars at his neighbor’s home last month, in the 7400 block of Timberline for a protest around 3 p.m.
But they were met with an even larger group of protesters in support of Horn’s actions.
The Horn supporters, many of whom appeared to come from outside the neighborhood, crowded around Quanell X and his group, revving motorcycles, hoisting signs in support of Horn and chanting “U-S-A! U-S-A!”

Funny it hasn’t been mentioned ANYWHERE that the “brothers” incited the” U-S-A” shouts after chanting their own “Black Power” shouts while marching down the middle of the street.

Quanell X is a member of The Nation of Islam (Muslim) as well as a member of The New Black Panther Party.
Suburb of Houston. Not a place very popular for minorities. The last, open-for-business, functioning Klan store I ever saw was there in the '80's. Right on highway 225.

They also don't say if the Black Panthers were from "from outside the neighborhood"
And is also given preferential treatment by the local police. Only he could harbor a fugitive, then lead police on a low speed chase with the fugitive in the car and not see any significant punishment. Its a scam for these people. Just like Jesse, Al and now Quanell (on a local leve) its all about them, not about the people they presume to protect. They could care less, as long as their bank account is continually fed.

Good to see some people standing up to a Black Klux Klan type of group.
Defending one from crime is never racist.
The Black Panthers and their burglars best be advised to stay clear of this neighborhood for the next 100 years.
