In 2005, a Republican state senator named Jim Holt introduced a bill to deny public benefits to Arkansas' soaring population of illegal immigrants. Holt, a Southern Baptist minister, figured it was a rock-solid conservative idea -- a matter, he said, "of right and wrong."
Arkansas' governor at the time was also a professed conservative, and also a Southern Baptist minister. But Mike Huckabee had only scorn for his fellow Republican's proposal.
Huckabee called the bill "race-baiting" and "demagoguery," and argued that the denial of health services could harm innocent children. The bill, Huckabee said, did not conform with his take on Christian values.
"I drink a different kind of Jesus juice," Huckabee said.

I despise this false man... he is a fake in almost every way he portrays himself.

After reading this, I still think of him as Hucksterby. I won’t be voting for him.,
I heard a quote today, that when Huck was asked what shocked him the most about voters today, he responded that he was absolutely blown away by the attention on the illegal alien issue.
If he wants to be President, he sure doesn’t know much about this country. Perhaps Arkansas doesn’t have its share of illegals and the SPIDERWEB of problems they cause, BUT THEY WILL.
Every candidate should be FORCED to drive through a lot of these towns nearer the border - SoCal, Ariz, Tx, NM, wherever. At least some of the guys get it. Miles and miles of people working for just-above-slave wages, living packed into “clownhouses,” negotiable hygiene, violence, destroying education, health care, wages, and quality of life for Americans. It’s NOTHING like the immigrants of the early 20th century (whose children assimilated). Please, COME AND HAVE A LOOK. You might think it’s “way over there in L.A.,” but it’s spreading fast and will be in your area sooner than you’d ever dream. We didn’t think the problem was all that bad in the 1970s either, here.
Huckabee (like Hillary) can’t imagine you spending your own money your own way. Huckabee (like Hillary) has far far greater plans for what to spend your money on than anything you could ever think up yourself, with your small, narrow, self-centered mind.
Huckabee (like Hillary) will take care of you. Huckabee (like Hillary) will take care of all of us. And all Huckabee (like Hillary) asks of you is: EVERYTHING YOU OWN.
And Huckabee (unlike Hillary) has the BIBLE on his side!
Didn’t Michael Jackson drink “Jesus Juice”? Or tried to get others to drink it?
33 When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. 34 The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God. (Leviticus 19:33-34) (NIV).
The laws that have been created to regulate the entrance of people into the United States are not immoral and should be enforced and obeyed.

What does the Bible say about hospitality? How should you treat your hosts?

Over the years, Huckabee has:
Used campaign funds to pay himself $14,000 for being his own media consultant.
Used campaign funds to pay himself $43,000 for use of his private plane while attempting to hide what the payment was actually in return for.
Used an account set up to cover operational costs of the governor’s mansion to pay such obviously personal expenses as fast-food and dry-cleaning bills.
Set up a nonprofit organization that paid him $23,500 without disclosing the source of the money.
Attempted to take $70,000 of furniture with him when moving out of the governor’s mansion.
Took more than 130 gifts worth more than $300,000 while suing to overturn a law that made him disclose the gifts.
We could go on in this vein, but space is limited. The bottom line: Mike Huckabee has an awful lot of explaining to do. And neither voters nor the national media should let the man Arkansas journalists call the Huckster get away with pretending that tough questions over his tawdry ethics record amount to mudslinging.

Show me the word ILLEGAL in that Bible passage... you can’t can you?

It’s no longer just towns near the border which have been overrun by illegal immigrants, most of them from Mexico and other nations south of our border. The crush of this invasion is what has finally sparked the outrage.
Agreed. I can’t find the place in the Bible that says Jesus wants us to accept people in your home that break in uninvited, steal your food and clothing, and expect you to pay their medical bills.
Too bad Jim Holt’s not the one running.
