New Orleans, LA (AHN) - A black teenager whose case fueled one of the biggest civil rights protests in the U.S. is expected to enter a guilty to a misdemeanor on Monday. If Mychal Bell, 17, enters a misdemeanor please, he will avoid a second trial for aggravated second-degree battery and conspiracy for his role in attacking Justin Barker, a white student from Jena High School.

Barker was unconscious, but survived the attack. Although he was treated in the emergency room for several hours, he managed to attend a school event on the same evening a year ago.

Bell's first charge of attempted murder as an adult was reduced before he was convicted on June by a jury of aggravated second-degree battery. Three months later an appeals court said Bell must be tried as a minor. If he was convicted he could have faced a 15-year maximum sentence........."

A plea bargain misdemeanor is huge deal for him. The prosecution still has five others on felony charges. How will this affect them? Bell was the one with prior beefs and arguably the hardest case.

They were all thugs made out to look like heroes by the NAACLP, the Justice Brothers and the MSM.

Don’t worry.

I’m sure the criminal justice system will get at least a few more chances at him. He’ll make sure of that.

This is being repeated as if it is some kind of an excuse for the little punk gang banger and to reduce the outrage. Oh, that's right the victim is a white boy.

"I’m sure the criminal justice system will get at least a few more chances at him. He’ll make sure of that."

Unfortunately, the system has already had a couple of chances at him, and he basically skates again. He is gonna have to outright kill somebody before there will be any real consequences to his actions. Then, of course, his excuse will be that the system has done him wrong in the past and made him the way he is.

Bet his 'Daddy', that lives in another state and never got involved in his life before the fame and temporary cash infusion, will be gone again in quick order.

Unless Mychal Bell leaves the state, I have no doubt that Angola will be his mailing address in the future.

If he ends up killing another black male then we will be subject to the usual homilies about why young black men are doing this to one another, etc etc. Just like in the Sean Taylor case. Only in the case of Bell it will be a murder that could have been prevented IF he had been thrown in prison for his previous assaults.
