Riot police were on the scene in a Pasadena neighborhood Sunday afternoon as a planned protest teetered on the brink of mayhem.
Quanell X and his followers planned to meet in front of the home of Joe Horn, the man who shot and killed two suspected burglars at his neighbors home last month, in the 7400 block of Timberline for a protest around 3 p.m.
But they were met with an even larger group of protesters in support of Horns actions.

The neighborhood association asked all residents to avoid the protest....hmmmmm????
This ain't over folks.. Wannabet that Q 10 and crew will be back with mo folks next time? He was humiliated....and that will not go unanswered.
Shoot, I forgot about bugmenot and I use it all the time!
Great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Raw footage of Q the 10th being humiliated.....enjoy!”
The neighborhood has been awash in controversy ever since the two men, Miguel Dejesus, 38, and Diego Ortiz, 30, were shot.
The whole thing started when Horn called 911 to say that two men were breaking into his neighbors home.
In a tape of the 911 call released to the media, the emergency operator can be heard urging Horn to remain in his home and wait for police to arrive.
Youre gonna get yourself shot if you go outside that house with a gun. I dont care what you think, the operator said.
Horn disagreed.
You wanna make a bet? he said. Im gonna kill em.
After the shooting, a shaken Horn called 911 again.
I had no choice, he said. They came in the front yard with me, man. I had no choice. Get somebody over here quick.
Pasadena police are compiling a report on the incident and plan to present the case to Harris County prosecutors, according to police spokesman Vance Mitchell. From there, its expected to be presented to a grand jury. In the meantime, Horn remains uncharged.
Texas law allows people to use deadly force to protect themselves if it is reasonable to believe they could otherwise be killed. In limited circumstances, people also can use deadly force to protect their neighbors property; for example, if a homeowner asks a neighbor to watch over his property while hes out of town.

For just 15 minutes??? ;-)
Do you want the scary answer??? :-)
In light of the recent events in which a Washington Pro football player was killed in Florida; I would say you make a pretty good point.
I honestly don’t know if I would have fired or not. All I know is that I would not have exposed myself, and if I did fire it would have been from inside the house. There is a patch of woods behind this house (nice neighborhood) and when he went outside he had no idea what might be behind him. He saw 2 burglars, but I have seen too much of this kind of thing to make any assumptions there aren’t more waiting in the wings.
There might have been in this case, unless these guys were crackheads or something. I am thinking there had to be someone around to shuttle them away with their booty.
If not, they would have to be very stupid, or like I said, crackheads, to think they are going to carry their bag of booty on foot, in broad daylight, in this rather affluent neighborhood and not be caught........or shot. :)
Wasn't he a Confederate guerrilla in Kansas?
Oh, QUANTRILL. Never mind.
Shot them too.
I thought Quannell #10 was something I’m supposed to buy my wife for Christmas
It is about time some Americans stand up for their neighborhood.
Been long over due to see that.
The Biker guy had a POW MIA (good guy) on his vest it was not a 1% Hells Angel emblem which I would have not supported.
Seeing all the young people stand up for the fellow defending his property and his nieghbors too gave me a glimmer of hope that others cannot just do what Quantem X (whatever his name is) and his supporters/protestors did.
Nothing other than his showing up in this latest story came up on google.
I saw a documentary on the elder now Black Panthers and IIRC they don’t reconize the New Black Panthers as any part of an off shoot of the original BLack Panthers.
I waver back and forth on the wisdom of Mr. Horn’s action, but I wouldn’t automatically lean toward prosecution, were I to be seated on that Grand Jury.
My taxes pay for fire fighters, but if I chanced upon a fire just begun, I would extinguish the flames myself if I could, before it got out of hand, and required the attention of the firemen.
That seems to be the general concensus with the public down here...
One thing though...
If Mr. Horn is “no-billed” by the GJ...
I’m kinda wondering if we are going to have a manufactured riot like in L.A. if that becomes the result of their deliberations...
That neighborhood is within rock throwing distance to a few of us active FReepers...
I have my concerns...
And I have a solution to deal with that concern as well...;-)

Update...
But not surprising...
I wonder what Quannel the tenth would say about this...Not that it matters...
And if I were a betting man, I believe the gloves could come off for a while in regards to this particular incident...
This may very well be what keeps Mr. Horn from any appreciable legal jeopardy...Civil or Criminal...
But the gavel has yet to fall on this one...
