Cheers!
So are a lot of FReepers.
What I'm not for is dragging people out of their homes, stripping them of their property, and kicking them out of the country and in the process breaking up families.
Nobody but open-borders shills and whores, and cheap-labor interests, has any interest in this either. The aforementioned groups like these things as strawmen with which to perform a political necklacing of their opponents.
It is not the American way and it is not the conservative thing to do.
Ever hear of "Operation Wetback" under Eisenhower?
And even FDR had forced internment of Japanese-Americans during his day.
Cheers!
If they're here illegally, they should be kicked out of the country. They can take their property with them, for all I care, as long as they didn't steal it. If we severely punished every employer who hires illegals, and cut off all government benefits to them, most of them would leave on their own. Why stay if there's no gravy train? As for not breaking up families, the solution's simple: If the whole family goes back home, they stay together.
It is not the American way and it is not the conservative thing to do.
So I can sneak into, let's say, Peru, and then claim they can't deport me because it wouldn't be the Peruvian thing to do? Last time I checked, enforcing the law was the American way and a conservative ideal.
Honestly, some of the comments I've been hearing lately makes me believe that some want to ethnically cleanse the country of anyone Hispanic.
I've heard nothing of the kind except from the other side. Such as when the Hispanic leader in Los Angeles celebrated "the last gasp of white California".
