I don’t throw the word treason around lightly, but anyone who sides with people illegally in the country against American citizens deserves that label.
You seem to act as if the priority of the two are irrelevant ..Or do place a higher priority on your race or people's national origins, then being and American?
But that's why the Dems are the Evil Paty and the Republicans are the Stupid Party.
‘Hispanic’ is not a race, and I’m not Hispanic.
Did I say you where "Hispanic" or that "Hispanic" was a race?
Republicans who pander to Hispanics and wish to throw open the borders to them lose the Hispanic vote by less than Republicans who don't pander. But if the result of such pandering is to bring more of them into the country, losing their votes by a lesser margin won't make any difference. The GOP will still lose.
It's like the old joke about the shop owner who complained that he lost a dollar on every sale. When asked how he intends to make up the losses, he replied, "volume".
That's what you're advocating. If we agree to flood the country with thirty million Hispanics, we'll only lose their votes 60-40, as opposed to losing the votes of fewer Hispanics 70-30 if we don't agree to bring them in.
Hilarious that you use a term like that while accusing people who merely want to guard the border of overheated hate rhetoric.
Dallas M-N, most illegals can’t read your hideous rag, so why are you pandering to them?
What do you mean by "new America"?
But not on this subject.
Cheers!
Oh. I see.
I'll have to look over your posting history.
Cheers!
Cheers!
So are a lot of FReepers.
What I'm not for is dragging people out of their homes, stripping them of their property, and kicking them out of the country and in the process breaking up families.
Nobody but open-borders shills and whores, and cheap-labor interests, has any interest in this either. The aforementioned groups like these things as strawmen with which to perform a political necklacing of their opponents.
It is not the American way and it is not the conservative thing to do.
Ever hear of "Operation Wetback" under Eisenhower?
And even FDR had forced internment of Japanese-Americans during his day.
Cheers!
“The Republican leadership under George W. Bush was bringing in more and more Hispanic voters to the Republican party until the anti-Hispanic extremists started in with their hateful rhetoric these last couple of years. If Republicans lose next year, most of the blame will belong to the anti-immigrant jihadists that were allowed to run amok.”
That is a self-serving myth perpetuated by Rove and Jorge. Regan received 41% of the Hispanic vote. Bush claimed 43% for 2004, but later reviews put it more around 38%.
Where’s the great gains? I think the real analysis is: if a Republic presidential candidate is a governor from either Texas or California, then they’ll get a larger than normal Hispanic vote. Other Republican presidential candidates have been more around 30%, those between Reagan and Jorge.

Rove and Bush have been pandering to the group they’ve pretended to make great gains among, while at the same time offending and insulting the groups that supported Bush overwhelmingly. Dumb politics, and a sure way to make the Republicans a minority party again as they were for decades before Reagan and the conservative movement to the party.
The party would have been far better off to appeal to Hispanics with traditional conservative and Republican values, rather than trying to buy votes with amnesty for people who are traditional Democrat constituencies. They’ve done great damage to the party and who knows how long it will take to repair it.
Given what happened in New York, it’s more likely to change blue to red. That is, of course, if the GOP doesn’t wuss out which it seems to do with alarming regularity.
If they're here illegally, they should be kicked out of the country. They can take their property with them, for all I care, as long as they didn't steal it. If we severely punished every employer who hires illegals, and cut off all government benefits to them, most of them would leave on their own. Why stay if there's no gravy train? As for not breaking up families, the solution's simple: If the whole family goes back home, they stay together.
It is not the American way and it is not the conservative thing to do.
So I can sneak into, let's say, Peru, and then claim they can't deport me because it wouldn't be the Peruvian thing to do? Last time I checked, enforcing the law was the American way and a conservative ideal.
Honestly, some of the comments I've been hearing lately makes me believe that some want to ethnically cleanse the country of anyone Hispanic.
I've heard nothing of the kind except from the other side. Such as when the Hispanic leader in Los Angeles celebrated "the last gasp of white California".
I mean a America that has a significant Hispanic cultural influence to it. You know, the one that is inevitable because not enough of the old America bothered to have children or aborted the one’s that were conceived.
