Clinton booed at Iowa Heartland Forum (booed over speakerphone!)

ABC News' Eloise Harper reports that Sen. Hillary Clinton faced an unfriendly crowd in Iowa.

At the Heartland Forum in Des Moines, IA, Clinton, who called in to speak to the crowd of thousands because of weather difficulties, took questions on topics from healthcare to illegal immigration.

Clinton was asked if she would "make a decision to give undocumented immigrants a path to citizenship" during her first 100 days in office.

Clinton said, "I have been favoring a plan to citizenship for years. I voted for it in the Senate, I have spoke out about it around Iowa and the country and in my campaign. And as president comprehensive immigration reform will be a high priority for me."

This answer elicited booing from the audience.

The man repeated his question about the first 100 days. Clinton replied, "Well you've to get congress to pass the legislation and the president to do as much as possible, which I will do."

Louder boos came from the crowd.

Eloise Harper reports that Clinton "was thanked for her appearance and the moderator expressed sympathies for the ordeal she suffered yesterday. Clinton thanked the moderator. More booing could be heard from the crowd again after she hung up the line."

Booed over speakerphone? That sounds like a first.

What happened to the “comprehensive immigration reform” passed by congress in 1986?

I would have booed her too because I don’t support immigration reform. They booed her because she might not get it done in 100 days!

Whoever put keyword “threadnumber4” - sorry. I did a search for the exact title and this is not a genuine dupe, I don’t believe.

Outstanding! Now I wonder, was she booed because the audience was filled with the kook fringe base of the Dim party, and they thought 100 days wasn't fast enough to give amnesty to illegal aliens? Or, was she booed because most voters are sane enough to oppose amnesty for illegal aliens, regardless of party affiliation? Option #3 - she was booed because most voters hate her no matter what she says.

Please let there be a recording of this that Rush can get into his formerly nicotine-stained hands by tomorrow morning!

Let’s repeat this,

“They booed her because she might not get it done in 100 days!”

So many people glossed over this yesterday and it wasn’t mentioned in today’s article.

How can they boo this most likable and most gentle person to ever run for President after the unprecedented great leadership she has shown dealing with the most important crisis in the world history when a lunatic wearing night flares on his chest entered one of her campaign building in a small town in New Hampshire?(Most extreme sarcasm).

I love the fact that she talks about what PLAN she will create AFTER she has been in office 100 days!!!!

I want to vote for or against a candidate based upon the plans they can articulate BEFORE I step into the voting booth in Nov 2008.

What a fraud all the Clintons are- even Chelsea...

Clinton "was thanked for her appearance and the moderator expressed sympathies for the ordeal she suffered yesterday.
It is to barf.

The fawning is so obviously cartoonish and hysterical, I'm thinking there's some ulterior motive for it. I dunno, . . . maybe to make all sane people run and hide from the sob sisters 'til after the election or something. I mean, no one could take this crap seriously, could they?

What is really bad for the “Invincible One” is the fall in support by women.
