The digital analysis of the Patterson film is extremely convincing, yet very under reported.
Unless you go looking for it, you will only hear the giggle factor of the standard media outlets. I have studied that film and followed the analysis for years and it is rather interesting to see what technology has shown in that old film 40 years later.

Guys! The man in this picture is a Mr. Champoux from Moxee, WA. The guy who took the movie was a Roger Patterson. Back in 1966 I met Roger at a tavern West of Yakima, WA. He showed me a number of plaster-of-paris footprints he had in the trunk of his car.
It was a hoax. Patterson died of cancer shortly after this movie was made.
Not long ago, the Yakima Herald Republic featured this and Champoux fessed up to the fact that he was the guy in the gorilla suit. He still had the suit after all of these years.
