ARTICLE SNIPPET: “PESHAWAR, Pakistan: A female suicide bomber blew herself up near a Christian school in the northwestern city of Peshawar on Tuesday, police said, in Pakistan’s first known case of a suicide attack by a woman.
The woman was killed, but there were no other casualties, according to police officer Ashraf Khan. She was walking near a Christian missionary school and a military checkpoint when explosives strapped to her body went off, killing her instantly, Khan said.”

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “ISLAMABAD: Suspected pro-Taliban militants blew up a CD shop and a barber salon in Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province (NWFP) after warning the owners to close down their establishments, saying they were against Islam and should be banned.
The CD shop and the barber salon were blown up in the NWFP’s tribal agency of Sheikh Mohammadzai area on Monday, the police said.
The owner of the CD shop, Daud Khan, told the police that they had received threats from some unidentified people to close down his establishment. The police have started investigation in the matter, the Dawn daily reported on Tuesday.
In a related development, some unidentified militants blew up a video shop with explosive material in Mardan district of NWFP. However, no casualty was reported in the incident at Mangla Bagh Chowk on Mardan Malakand road.
Earlier, pamphlets were distributed by unknown men in residential areas of Mardan, warning people to halt un-Islamic business of selling video cassettes.”
