Northampton police have arrested a man in connection with a string of flag burnings around western Massachusetts.
A typewritten note left at the home and signed by the “American Patriot Liberation Front” claimed the United States was oppressing millions of people around the world.
Similar incidents were reported in Palmer, Greenfield and Amherst.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The second suspicious death at top Russian bank VTB within a month is provoking new concern about a return to a culture of lawlessness and contract killings in Moscow’s business world.
The body of Alexander Funin, 43, with a bullet wound to the head, was found in the bathroom of his apartment in south-western Moscow.
As with a killing earlier this month, police quickly ruled out murder, before apparently allowing sufficient time for detailed investigations.
Such quick “conclusions” are themselves fuelling suspicions in Moscow about a cover-up of a new wave of contract killings in banks.”
