VIENNA, Austria, November 30, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Video footage of abortion clinic escorts in the employ of Vienna abortionist Dr. Christian Fiala are so offensive that a local Bishop was stunned and is convinced that the case must be brought to state authorities. In the video, Dr. Fiala's staff can be clearly seen sexually abusing, humiliating and using grotesque intimidation tactics on pro-life activists who pray silently outside the abortuary.
The video shows abortion clinic escorts grabbing the genitals of male pro-life activists, undoing pant zippers, threatening to poke them in the eyes, sexually hugging them, making grotesque faces etc. One clinic escort is seen on the video taking a wooden wedge and simulating sex with a female pro-lifer, pushing the wedge into her genital area.
The (WARNING GRAPHIC) video which has been posted on the Catholic Internet video website Gloria.tv can be viewed here: http://www.gloria.tv/?video=plexkbcvnjyprlb250ju
Rather than crack down on such atrocities police look the other way, according to local pro-lifers. Moreover, the Austrian Parliament is considering legislation to ban all pro-life activists from the public property outside abortion clinics, even if they are only praying silently. Dr. Fiala, the Director of the well-known Gynmed walk-in abortion clinics in Vienna and Salzburg is fighting for the ban. According to Dr. Fiala, police officers are not allowed to take action against "those fanatic anti-abortion demonstrators, even when they "bother" women in a crisis situation." The video evidence has however given the lie to Dr. Fiala's claims and shown him to be the perpetrator rather than the victim of intimidation.
Salzburg Auxiliary Bishop Andreas Laun viewed the video and spoke with Gloria.tv about his reaction. "I am horrified that this is possible in Austria," said Bishop Laun noting the brutality of the abortion clinic guards. The Bishop called the video a real eye-opener. "One can clearly see that they actually did such things," he said. The bishop is convinced that the events shown in the video should be investigated by State prosecutors.

Professional,
Carenet is a Christian prolife organization that does crisis pregnancy counseling. Many hundreds of pregnancy centers belong to Carenet, which is an umbrella organziation.
You might Google Carenet, they are based in Virginia, and see if the location you mention is one of their affiliates.
If the location you cite is indeed an abortion clinic, email Carenet, because the use of their name would be a trademark infringement and actionable.
Agree. Passivity is a virtue in certain circumstances but certainly not all.
Typical behavior for any liberal.
Consider that any action, whether defensive or not, will be used as grounds to permanently bar such protests from outside these clinics. Further, to haul off and drop one of these offensive dolts would be used as cause celebre to incarcerate the retaliating protestor.
The video/photo documentaton route may be the only one left open to these folks, especially given the differences in Austrian and American law.
I don’t believe these folks like being martyrs, but rather that they recognize these tactics for what they are - bait to try and trap the protestors into doing something legally actionable.
Are you so certain it is ‘martyrdom’ seeking, or is it remaining non-violent to keep from giving the demonspawn in the media something to focus upon to denigrate the work of standing for those being taken to the slaughter? Does it occur to you that those not reacting are taking away the thing the smarmy bastards were trying to accomplish, to take the focus off of the evil inherent in the abortuaries?
It’s best to always do the right thing - not think about spin.
How’s that working out for them?
All they got was no coverage and sexually abused.
Always do the right thing!
So, doing the right thing is fighting back physically? Even when it will likely result in the lack of access to silenty witness and perhaps save the life of one (or more) unborn child?
Sometimes, the right thing isn’t the natural response.
If even ONE baby is saved because these protestors “martyred” (your word) themselves, then they martyred themselves in a good, righteous, and just cause. Do you honestly care more for the dignity of adults over the lives of the unborn?
“I wouldnt have been able to handle it. They would have carried them out on a stretcher.”
Yeah! I’d have been giving them a lesson in physics with my fists and feet. Meet Ms. Inertia and Mr. Gravity, the ground and then my boots.
strange i live in austria and i never heard about that untill now. i didn´t make the news here.
How many people are more like me? Disgusted with their passive acceptance of sexually abuse. They are not saving babies, they are proving how dedicated they are to a cause. It’s repulsive.
“Do you honestly care more for the dignity of adults over the lives of the unborn?”
Must they be mutually exclusive? The perpetrators actions are perverse, but the victims’ passive allowance of fondling is also perverse. The pictures above take this out of the realm of protest and into something else, and that something else has nothing to do with abortion.
One cannot win a war by tactical means. Strategy must be in play. Whether you like it or not, the pro-aborts win if the protestors react tactically.
Pray tell what their cause is, if not to save babies?
“How many people are more like me? Disgusted with their passive acceptance of sexual abuse.”
Count me in. Both the action and the passive allowance of it are perverse.
No, adult dignity and protecting the unborn are not necessarily mutually exclusive. But, in this case, the pro-abort side has been trying to get the protestors removed by law, citing fictitious violence by the protestors as a primary reason.
Therefore, any hint of violence on the part of the protestors, whether provoked or not, plays to support the lies of the abortion crowd.
Since the police evidently dont care to get involved, it seems to me that a proper course of action would be to:
The red-shirted vermin with the little dildo, I’m sure, had it modeled after his own tiny penis. If the pro-life people had responded in any way, they most probably been hauled off in chains, given the screwed-up laws of the EU. As for me, I’d submit to spending a hundred years in some rat-hole where they had to pump air to me in exchange for one teeth-eradicating punch to red shirt’s foul and ugly mouth.
The problem is, any retaliation by the pro-lifers would result in massive media coverage accusing them of assaulting “escorts” who were “protecting women”. Abortion is one of the issues where the media are almost totally monolithic. Any video of the incident would be edited to make it look like the pro-lifers were the assailants, and before you know it a bill would be passed banning pro-life activities within a mile of an abortion mill. The pro-aborts were trying to push the pro-lifers into fighting back for that very purpose.
They are demons.
i can tell you there was Zero media coverage about this issuse. this was a private video. this is the first time here on Freerepublic that i noticed that this had happened.
