Yep, there came a time at least five years ago, when I totally turned Pat off. Didn’t read articles anymore, changed the channel if on TV. He earned his way off the minds of many who would once would at listen.

So you don’t think 30 million iliterate invaders will cause any permanent changes to our country? Come visit here in Texas where anglos are fast becoming a minority. I have been cursed by mexicans on two different occasions because of a bumper sticker that says “close our borders”. I have no idea who you are or where you live, but quality of life has definately changed for the worse here. Maybe you should get out more and see what’s happening. By the way, Texas has been one of the most reliable conservative States, but if amnesty happens we will instantly become a blue State.

When it comes to illegal immigration I really feel bad for the people who waited in line and did it right. Stupid them. It amazes me even on the fR people are still sensitivity programmed and can't say "Mexicans walking across the border" but use the cover all nondiscriminatory Ill Immig. I guess what I wonder, how much does there presence help our economy? Some of them come here for work which keeps costs in agriculture and home construction down. I guess it's a question of your tolerance levels of Mexican culture vs high prices on lettuce and houses.

Problem with your statement is "their ideas of the moment" are based on the Founders' ideas that are the basis for the Republic. They are not "of the moment" and they are not the "conservatives" pushing like the left to do away with our Constitution and develop a new "conservatism." There is a very good reason these two are called "paleo-conservatives." They mostly adhere to what was originally considered conservative and are not interested in re-defining conservatism to suit the leftward move of the country.
