Court of inquiry ordered in spec-ops case, Lt. Gen. Mattis ordered this special inquiry to determine the facts in the case before he left. It is not a criminal proceeding and is rare. According to the article from this thread, that legal tribunal has now been postponed until mid-January. Maj. Gen. Dennis J. Hejlik did not explicitly say the men were cleared at this point. But the fact that he's calling Gen. Kearney's actions into question is a very interesting sign.
