LOL!!! I remember one night before Christmas some time ago ... I was awakened by this annoying sound of something revving up and then crashing into stuff. Turns out it was my dad playing with my Evel Knievel toy as he and mom were stashing gifts under the tree.

My brothers and I would send the Evel stunt cycle off a ramp at the top of a flight of stairs. It was pretty cool watching it go down like a ski jumper.

Me too!
And when I got old enough, my friends and I used to jump ditches and creeks on our bicycles, then dirt bikes when we got older.

R.I.P., Evel.

I did too and wish I still did. At 43 I would still play with it and let my grandkids play too.

me too. I used to love setting up a ramp and jumping the motorcycle into the closed garage door.

I was absolutely obssessed with the Snake River jump. I still have the scars on my elbows and knees from setting up ramps and jumping them on my bike. I loved Evel when I was a little kid.

RIP Evel

me too.

I met Mr. Knievel in the early/mid 70s... at a dragstrip in Enis, TX... he had his outfit (white leathers and I think he had a cape too) on and did wheelies on his Harley-Davidson (I'll never forget how loud it was). At the meet and greet afterwards... the room had renderings of his future attempt at "jumping" the Snake River.

R.I.P. Mr. Knievel... you'll always be the man.

I loved that toy! My knuckles, however, felt differently. Evel was truly one of a kind. RIP Evel.

That toy is really cool when we are being nostalgic, but it’s got nothing on the Fly Wheels of today. My son has those and they freakin’ go! They're only about $5 to boot!

My brother and I both had one of those Evel Knievel motorcycle toys.

Those were awesome.

I also had one around that time. I actually saw one of these, new in the box (as in, they’re actually making them again) at a Menards store in Wisconsin. This was last month! Weird timing, eh?

I bought one for my son, but I don’t think he ever got the chance to play with it. Dad wouldn’t give it up. LOL

I wish I didn’t sell mine in a yard sale many years ago. :(
RIP Evel, you were a hero to me growing up. I have the scars to prove it!
