What amuses me most is that there are diehard Leftists out there who are disgusted with the New York Times, CNN, and other major media outlets for their (snicker) nonstop support for President Bush and his war in Iraq. The conservatives are in power (you see) because the media props them up and hides the truth from the American people.

I don't consider the people you are talking about to be conservative - look at Fox - there is a reason why Fox pushes for Giuliani - Roger Ailes, the guy running it, was Giuliani's consultant during his first run for mayor, and he frequently invites Giuliani to be a guest of Fox/News Corp. at high-profile functions. Giuliani even officiated at Ailes' wedding as well helping Fox with some station problems in NY. Giuliani is about as liberal as a Republican can get, and he and Ailes see eye-to-eye on things, making Ailes a lot more liberal than he's made out to be.

Not really disagreeing with your overall point, but I think you may have missed mine. I have had conversations with people on the Left who swear to me that Roger Ailes, Katie Couric, Ted Turner, and Pinch Sulzberger are all Conservatives. They are all "not Left enough" and they are all working to keep George Bush in power.

These Leftists are delusional.

If you want to tell me that Ailes is not really a conservative, I won't disagree with you. I would heartily agree.
