Media: CNN can spare us the alibis for letting Democratic operatives slip past them as questioners in this week's Republican debate. The Hillary Rodham Clinton News Network may be as dishonest as it is slanted.

All it took was a Web search to figure out that the supposedly independent retired Brig. Gen. Keith Kerr, whose video question for the candidates was chosen by CNN for the GOP YouTube debate, was a co-chairman of a Clinton campaign organization.

Yet after CNN's Anderson Cooper innocently announced "another question from a YouTube viewer. Let's watch," came a gravelly voice right out of George C. Scott's portrayal of Gen. George Patton, as Kerr rattled off his biographical data.

"I'm a retired brigadier general with 43 years of service, and I'm a graduate of the Special Forces Officer Course, the Command and General Staff Course, and the Army War College," Kerr said. "And I'm an openly gay man."

What Kerr — and Cooper — left out of his resume was not only that Kerr was this month named to a top spot in "Veterans and Military Retirees for Hillary," according to a press release from her campaign, but that he was also on the National Veterans Steering Committee of Sen. John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign.

And how about the first “undecided republican” in CNN’s post debate focus group blurting out that she wants to vote for John Edwards? How can that one be a legit “undecided republican”?

CNN wasn't duped nor did it let these folks slip past them. I'm not even sure HRC was in on it. CNN, IMHO, probably took it upon themselve to set this up.

CNN is not biased, they are a political organization, running a 24/7/365 political campaign.

And they are laughing their arses off right now.

Cnn is the opposite of fair and balanced. They have been since their inception. Since they’ve been getting away with it so well all these years they see no problem unfairly rigging the questions and the questioners.

What’s a little credibility loss when they have such a target rich range to take potshots at Republican positions?

Tom Delay said it best tonight on Hannity and Colmes, you have two cable news channels working in concert with the Democratic Party to get a candidate elected. They’re either coconspirators with the DNC or employees of the DNC. This farce of a debate was no accident.

CNN’s Anderson Pooper is a rich little spoiled moron.

Yup. It won't be this way forever though.

Yeah, those stupid Repubs thinking that a debate would be legit. How silly. Kinda like expecting to get blown up in a church, idiots.

If CNN had been duped, the moderator would not have on his own initiative asked the homo general whether he had gotten a satisfactory response to his question, thereby giving him a second chance to make a speech. The purpose of that follow-up query was to insure that maximum Democrat benefit, and Republican discomfiture, was milked from that pre-planned encounter.

Talk radio and FR are making a big deal about the phony setup of this debate, but the problem, I fear, is that they are “preaching to the choir.” The vast majority of people who watched the debate may never hear that the debate was rigged, and if they do, don’t care. The more conservatives complain, the more CNN viewers will simply be told that conservatives are squirming to escape the “truth.”

After all, why should it matter *who* asks the question, they will ask. And when CNN hosts a debate among the Dems, the plants will be Democrats. They will call that fair because the plants were Dems in both cases. Makes sense, eh?
