EL DORADO, Kan. | Authorities have found a body and the description is consistent with that of missing 18-year-old Emily Sander, Police Chief Tom Boren said this afternoon.
The body was found between El Dorado and Toronto, along U.S. 54 about 50 miles east of El Dorado, Boren said. Boren said Wednesday that Mireles and his pregnant 16-year-old girlfriend could be headed for Mexico, where he has relatives.
Mireles has been in the United States legally and has resident alien status, Boren said.
Nude photos of Sander appeared on a Zoey Zane Web site before she vanished, and investigators were looking into whether that part of her life had anything to do with her disappearance.
Earlier today, investigators concluded that an adult Web site that Sander was involved with had nothing to do with her disappearance, an official said.
That conclusion was based partly on an interview investigators conducted Wednesday night with a woman who managed the Web site, Boren said in a telephone interview with The Wichita Eagle.
Sander, an 18-year-old Butler Community College student, has been missing since Friday night when she was seen leaving a bar just east of El Dorado with Israel Mireles, 24, police say. Investigators say Mireles is a person of interest in the case who is thought to have driven to Texas.
We have no indication at all that Mireles ever knew her before this (past) weekend, Boren said

Kids have a built in immortal gene. Heaven’s, looking back on some of the things I’ve done, it’s amazing I’m still here.
We hear of crime every day, but it’s always “them” that gets hurt and not “us”.
I do wish this girl had used better judgement, but then who knows.
I’m just sorry her life was cut short.
It would sure help if we had a justice system that moved through these cases quick enough so that the justice end of it could be tied to the event. Whoever did this won’t fry for decades if ever, and that’s a pitty.
If he's a Mexican national I guess he wont be deported to be tried for a possible death sentence. Anyone know?
nope what she did, was invite it
absolutely stunning!
Add the word ‘unwittingly’.
I dont know, the acts of said are immoral...what can you expect from the people you relate with?
The one I linked is required reading for all my new troops, especially the young ladies.
did 60gunner WRITE that story? the writing is really good.
The nude website points to poor judgement on her part. Poor judgement is also most likely what put her in jeopardyof her life...
There is no such thing as good, clean pornography.
When women start taking off their clothes and posing provocatively in front of strangers — they are asking for trouble. In front of cameras or on the Internet, both are equally risky. But I guess it pays good, and young people today only see the all mighty dollar — not the consequences of their acts in the long haul.
All murders are tragedies. Terrible that this young woman didn’t realize the danger she put herself in, by her choices.
Sick
yup,on her part.
Agreed, in spite of what some FReepers post.
Those raising daughters in this toxic world really have their work cut out for them.
Am I crazy, or does it seem weird hearing the phrase “porn star” over and over again on the radio and TV?
What happened to “adult entertainer”?
I’m only 34; am I getting old? :-)
I have trouble believing that she would have done any of this if she knew how deadly dangerous the people were.

Is being niave an excuse? was she enjoying what she was doing?
I’m just saying that she unwittingly placed herself in grave danger, something she would have never knowingly done.
It looks like she paid for that common midwestern trust of others with her life.
I’m sure there are many others who are in that same precarious position also.
