ALL those politically correct types who piled on last April when Don Imus went down for making his bad "nappy-headed ho's" joke had better duck and cover on Monday, when the I-Man goes back to work on WABC Radio.
"I think he will have some scores to settle," the station's general manager, Phil Boyce, told Page Six yesterday.
It is doubtful Imus will ever forgive CBS chief Les Moonves, who fired him, or regular guest Tim Russert, the host of NBC's "Meet the Press," who was "an invisible man" while Imus was under attack.
Private eye Bo Dietl, who will join Imus in the 8 a.m. hour on Monday, also named Harold Ford Jr. and Al Roker as two Imus regulars who abandoned him in his hour of need.

No kidding, Yawn............
The same I-man who kissed sharpton’s ass 50 times?
He took his time coming back to apply more chap stick.
Imus is good in small doses. I love his cadre, and he is an excellent interviewer.
Did Imus or anyone else seriously think these people were his friends? They kissed up to him while he could do something for them, but not a one of them was going to be in a foxhole with him. And I don’t remember: when Al D’Amato was a Senator and got in trouble for doing an on-air Japanese caricature of Judge Lance Ito, did Imus defend him, or was he as AWOL as these other people later were with him?
The ONLY people sticking up for Imus were CONSERVATIVES!...All his “friends” FLEW the coop!
“The ONLY people sticking up for Imus were CONSERVATIVES!...All his friends FLEW the coop!”
Not this one, as soon as he said he supported sKerry,
I said bye-bye, and stopped listening to him.
Imus needs to go after the Black Klux Klanners like Sharpton and Jackson and the other race warlords. They were the ones who went after Imus.
Yup. Imus may of been a Coke-Head but has conservative thoughts occasionally. Hope he follows through on his thoughts.
Geesh...I was talking about when he got into the trouble!!! good grief.
Oh my dear, I was not venting at you.
Just saying I had no mercy for him. He opened his mouth and got what he deserved.
He pandered to liberals and they abandoned him.
I used to listen to him a lot until he voted for sKerry.
All the “beautiful” people left him out to dry. I hope he skewers the whole group of elitists that used to grace his show
Can I buy an understandable sentence?
NEWBIE!! LIBERAL spelled BACKWARDS??? LOL!
I just hope that this episode doesn’t turn Imus into a cranky old lunatic.
..but I still won't be listening to him.
I’ll be interested in how Imus handles himself. I also wonder how his young wife has adjusted, LOL.
Maybe he’ll get his revenge like Hillary does - people disappear or get in professional trouble months and years later, ha.
Imus has worn out his welcome as far as I am concerned. But I will say this for him: He dances with the one that brought him. He isn’t a fair weather friend, but seems to be the kind of guy that would help you dig your way out of the ditch you found yourself in. He also helps a lot of little kids with no hope in their lives, so I’ll give him a pass and just keep movin’ on.
I suspect the I-Man knows Hillary was the driving force behind the push to get him off the air. If that’s the case, this is gonna be fun - expect his attacks on her to make headlines.
