Controversy erupted last night after Republican presidential candidates participating in the CNN/YouTube debate received a question from an undisclosed gay activist and supporter of Hillary Clintons campaign.
Retired Brig. Gen. Keith H. Kerr told candidates he was an openly gay man, member of the California National Reserve, and asked why you think that American men and women in uniform are not professional enough to serve with gays and lesbians?
He did not mention that he is a member of the LGBT Americans For Hillary Steering Committee and a co-chair on Hillary Clinton's National Military Veterans group.
Kerr was in the audience and host Anderson Cooper even asked him if he was satisfied with the answers. All of the candidates support the dont ask-dont tell policy and Kerr said he was not happy with their responses.

yup and you wont see a peep out of the media about it.
“What the heck is the Californian National Reserve?”
Well, the tin-star ‘general’ had a hard time speaking, likely due to slamming too many down the back of his throat, but what he was trying to say was “California Natural Reserve”, which is a select brand of wines.
Brilliant minds think alike.....
This guy is no more a Log Cabin REPUBLICAN than I am! What is with GAY OBSESSION and the DEMOCRATS!!! SEX SEX SEX...it’s DISGUSTING!
Thank you, Did you like the “Extra Sour”?
OK....WHAT was the rank that Kerr retired as????
“Obama gave it away when he thanked his questioner for her union service.”
That is because the candidates ‘staffs’ spent hours with the potential ‘questioners’ before the debate.
Obama just assumed it was common knowledge, or wanted everyone to know just how much of a ‘setup’ it was.
(wonder which it was?)
“Thank you, Did you like the Extra Sour?”
Yes. One suggestion.
The VIN DE TABLE be changed to VIN UNDER DE TABLE.
“OK....WHAT was the rank that Kerr retired as????
Flaming Homo?
LOL! Of course not - you may have noticed a slight resemblance to the "lifelong Republicans" who are always calling CSPAN to deliver the latest DNC talking points. If he could get any more transparent he'd be invisible.
CNN gets grief for planting questions for Hillary's benefit. So how do they "balance" the republican debate? Planting questions for Hillary's benefit. See, sniffs CNN, we're BALANCED.
Amazing that General Rumpranger brings up Don’t Ass Don’t Tail right when Harpy is having her Lezbo Eruptions?? Coincidence, not with the Clinton Chinese Mafia War Room.
Pray for W and Our Victorious Troops
I think that Obama thought it was an open secret.
Well, the Log Cabin Republicans just put a hit ad against Romney on WRKO.
“State Militia?”
Correct. It’s called different things in different states.
it is a backup force to the National Guard when they all get mobilized so that governors have someone around in case of disasters or riots. They get a state rank only. According to this article, they can’t use the rank outside of their state.
Retired as a colonel from the US Army Reserve. Subsequently joined the “California State Military Reserve”, which seems to be an adjunct of some sort to the California National Guard where he was made a Brigadier General.
I’m no expert on this but the CSMR seems like a state organized militia with no ties to the US military except indirectly through the California National Guard. Some states still do this, apparently.
What I’d like to know is if it was known within certain circles in the Bay Area that this retired colonel was gay to begin with and they lobbied to have this guy “promoted” to BG within the CSMR. Somebody proposed this retired officer for the job. I suppose them that knew (if any) would keep mum about it.
When are the Republicans going to wake up and begin staging their own events that are every bit as tightly controlled as the Democrats? After watching for 10 minutes last night it has to occur to one that at best they are the prey in the lions cage. It’s unbelievable that they would allow themselves to go into a venue controlled by CNN.
