I do hope God blessed Hyde with repentant, saving faith in Christ while he lived. His speech during The Nameless One’s impeachment was stirring; I doubt I’ll forget it. And the Hyde Amendment was a great legacy to leave.

Surely you're not abstracting this concept from Ephesians 2:7-9. The lack of gendered nouns and pronouns in English has led too many to connect "that" (neuter) (of the "that not of yourselves") to "faith" (feminine) and make an erroneous conclusion that a Greek reader would not make. The typical English version adjusts the text to an existing doctrine and also destroys an interesting parallelism in the Greek.
