Just speculation. His support is a little too organized,if you know what I mean. I had never even heard of Ron Paul until I heard several die-hard leftist Democrats talking about how they could vote for him. Knowing for a fact that nothing could ever persuade them from voting for anyone other than a Democrat, I immediately grew suspicious. That was about a year ago.

I now go out and see Ron Paul signs in people's yards. And this is months before any primary. It doesn't make sense. Combine this with the fact that the only reason Bill Clinton ever got elected is because there was a third party candidate taking away a substantial piece of the vote. Bill Clinton did not win a majority of the vote either time, and there is no way Hillary could ever do it. The only hope she has is for someone like Paul to run as a third-party candidate and steal votes away from the GOP nominee.

We also found out after '92 that Clinton helped fund Perot's campaign. While I cannot cite Paul's exact donors, I can definitely cite past Clinton behavior.

You’re nailing it.

Something stinks about the supposed broad base of RP’s support.

I agree Perot gave Clinton his win, but I don’t think Paul would take too much away from the right...and I don’t think he’ll run third party. I could be wrong, though.

Having lurked on FR for quite a while, I’d seen the name Ron Paul several times. He used to be looked up to quite a bit... I agree with him almost totally domestically - the government was never intended to micromanage our lives. It’s the issue of national security where Paul has lost many supporters here.

I have seen RP bumper stickers, bill boards, signs on poles. I live in a state with a Republican governor but the Democrats control the Legislature. I, too, question where these signs come from.

Campaign donations are available online. If it’s so obvious and there’s such huge fraud, you should easily be able to discern it and demonstrate your claims with facts.

It would astonish me if you found you were right, considering how many Ron Paul supporters I have encountered (much to my initial surprise, but conservatives are usually the quiet ones!).
