They have an iron clad case... FBI wiretaps... fund transfers and the Judge turned States Evidence against scruggs. The Judge took 40G’s from dickie and the FBI deal offered to him.

Wow, you have good sources. I think we can strike Mike Moore from the list of potential dem. senate candidates to replace Lott. He and Scruggs are way, way too close.

Gonna be interestin’ in MS when this trial gets started.

"He's a scumbag trial lawyer who raked in a billion dollars from the tobacco settlement. He's now extorting insurance companies over Katrina."And I believe one of his clients is Trent Lott who was upset with his insurance company after Katrina.

I believe one of his clients is Trent Lott who was upset with his insurance company after Katrina. Very true. I once heard Lott say that he was being represented by Scruggs over Katrina "even though I do not approve of what he does." BTW, Lott had both flood insurance and homeowner's insurance, but he is suing because he was under-insured. His insurance coverage was not enough to build the mansion he wanted to replace his 152-year-old home so he hired Scruggs to extort more.

Un oh! What will the Ole Miss athletic department do now when they need an airplane? Use David Nutt's plane. Nutt was one of the partners in the Jackson law firm with Scruggs. Word is they used Nutt's plane to pick up the new Nutt from Arkansas this week. Won't surprise me if David and Houston were related.
I always thought it a bit hypocritical that the law firm Scruggs and Nutt worked for got billions in tobacco settlements for themselves, yet I have seen David Nutt smoking cigarettes on more than one occasion. I guess it's not that big a deal...just made me think that Nutt was a hypocrite.

I wonder if this has any relation to Lott’s retirement announcement.
