Bill Clinton '07 vs. Bill Clinton '03 (and '04)
Bob Parks: Outside The Wire ^ | 11/28/07 | Bob Parks

It's amazing how much of a pain in the ass the truth must be for Bill Clinton.

The truth keeps coming up and biting him there....

Even though I approved of Afghanistan and opposed Iraq from the beginning, I still resent that I was not asked or given the opportunity to support those soldiers. – Bill Clinton, 11/27/07
With that, and without parsing (if possible), how does Bill explain this...?
I supported the President when he asked the Congress for authority to stand up against weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. I have strongly supported the efforts in Afghanistan and I would be happy if they would send more troops there because that’s where the real problem is. But we cannot forever be strong abroad unless we’re getting better at home. Forming a more perfect union. There are things you’re supposed to do. – Bill Clinton, Remarks at Tougaloo College Commencement, 5/18/03, Jackson, MS

"I still resent that I was not asked or given the opportunity to support those soldiers. "

The most revealing insight into everything wrong with liberalism. In the liberal's mind, the only way you can support the effort is through more taxes. In addition, that we are somehow 'asked' when the government confiscates more of our money.

One of the most positive aspects of the eight years of the Clinton administration is that it proved this country could have a chief executive who is a certifiable, babbling, delusional loony-tune and still function just fine.

Possibly the most profound statement of the day...nice job!

If you want a real eye-opener, do an internet search on terms like "Bill Clinton, Georgetown, November 2001" and see what you come up with. Please let me know if you find anything other than an on-line transcript of his November 7, 2001 speech. I cannot find a live video clip anywhere on the web, and anyone I've spoken to who saw it back then describes it as one of the most surreal things they'd ever seen.

I'd be curious to know what you find, and to see if anyone here remembers the specific incident that I'm referring to.

The more he talks, the more insignificant he makes her seem.

Keep babbling, Bubba.

Oh Please Dear Santa: help us not to have to live thru 8 more years of a Klinton Presidency.

We all have been really good kids down here on Earth, we all Love you very much and we know that in the end you will not punish us by having these two back in the White House embarrassing our people and Our Nation.

Could you please answer our most sincerest gift by putting someone else to lead our Country?

You can even put a lump of coal under my tree for my present and I won’t cry, but please Santa, don’t let them get back in the White House....

Rush opens his show with--is it sabotage or is he just pathological?

The Drive-Bys are not doing their usual fawning over Bubba...today's article by Ron Fournier:

"Ladies and gentlemen," Clinton told 400 Iowans at the start of his three-city swing, "I have had a great couple of days out working for Hillary."

In the next 10 minutes, he used the word "I" a total of 94 times and mentioned "Hillary" just seven times in an address that was as much about his legacy as it was about his wife's candidacy.

He told the crowd where he bought coffee that morning and where he ate breakfast.

He detailed his Thanksgiving Day guest list, and menu.

He defended his record as president, rewriting history along the way.

And he explained why his endorsement of a certain senator from New York should matter to people.

"I know what it takes to be president," he said, "and because of the life I've led since I've left office."

I, me and my. Oh, my. (cont.)

Thank a (somewhat) responsible Republican Congress for that; I don’t think we’ll have the same circumstances this time.

I couldn’t even find a transcript. Just a bunch of stories about how the media twisted what he actually said.

There are definitely transcripts out there, but I've been able to find no video of the event even though it had been shown on television (C-SPAN, I think) on the 7th.

There's a reason for all this attention to details, folks . . .

People who watched the event live or on television said they couldn't believe how awful Clinton looked and sounded -- slurred speech, rambling statements, mumbling, etc.

I didn't think much of it at the time, but two subsequent items really caught my attention and made me wonder what the hell was going on:

1. C-SPAN or PBS showed a "re-broadcast" of the event a few days later that didn't include any video at all (they played an audio clip of the event while displaying the presidential seal and some text announcements of the event).

2. Bill Clinton pretty much disappeared from public view from early November or 2001 to late January of 2002 (if my memory is accurate). This was highly unusual for a guy who was always looking for media exposure, but what really triggered my suspicions were several media reports -- mainly newspaper stories -- about meetings that he was allegedly attending at his Harlem office with former administration officials. None of these reports included televised footage, and none of the newspaper stories included any photos. I speculated at the time that the newspaper stories were complete fabrications planted in the media by his staff.

Anyone else remember this bizarre series of events?

It gets even worse. Neal Cavuto on Fox just aired a clip of Bill Clinton from today where he now blames Mexican immigration on the tax cuts. Yup. If Mexico didn’t have to loan us money they would have the money to take care of their own people and they wouldn’t have to come here. Megabarf!
