You are so right. Here’s just a little smidgeon of the heresy of Mormonism:
“No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith... every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are... [Joseph Smith] reigns there as supreme a being in his sphere, capacity, and calling, as God does in heaven. Many will exclaim—’Oh, that is very disagreeable! It is preposterous! In all fairness, we don’t know Romney’s heart and we don’t know his belief in Christ.
BUT we can look at the religion he follows and proclaim that the LDS Church is NOT a Christian religion. Just as we can look at the followers of Islam and proclaim in unChrisian. This is not hateful.....it simply is truth. At least Islam is not trying to hijack Christianity like Mormonism is, by using the same words with different meanings to deceive the very elect.
