I remember one holiday season, my brother in law, an entrenched elitist liberal, was talking about gun control.
He said no one needed a semi-automatic rifle. I asked him to describe exactly what a semi-automatic was. He gave me a sheepish look and admitted he didn’t know.
I went on to tell him that “semi-automatice” simply meant that a new cartridge was loaded when the previous one was fired - one pull, one shot - and that most deer rifles operated that way as well.
It showed him that he didn’t have any basis for his opinion, but, libs are highly impervious to reason and facts.
