I've been thinking - libertarianism doesn't always mesh with the Religious Right, does it?

And all this time I’ve assumed that every whorehouse madam in the country would endorse Hillary,Osama or Dennis.

They’re small business owners, so likely Republican, at least in Nevada.
Obama would want to close them, because they objectify women and are a violation of Sharia law.
Richardson would tax them, then demand that half the proceeds be given to a special Hispanic Outreach fund run by his brother-in-law.
Hillary would demand free magic carpet rides (and tax them).
Biden would tax them, close them because they objectify women, and then cause himself to go blind thinking about them.
Breck Girl would turn his nose up at them as not pretty as him, then sue them.

TV host Tucker Carlson, who was trailing Paul for an article, says he's a good friend of Hof and -- in his words -- "decided to call him up and see if he wanted to come check this guy out."Carlson is a friend of the pimp, er, brothel owner, or Paul is?
Never mind, I guess it doesn't really matter.

What is the difference between those three and cut and run? All four of them want to lose the WOT, they all want to blame America for 9/11, and all four of them think prostitution should be a God given right. Well I'm not sure about the third one but two out of the three are for sures.

A spokesman for Paul says the politician with a libertarian streak doesn't condone prostitution on a personal level. But, he says, "it's not the role of federal government and it's not in the constitution for federal government to regulate these things." Dumb question, but isn't prostitution regulated by the states and not the feds?

Whorehouses, gambling casinos, hashish dens, opium parlors.....that’s Ron Paul’s America....enjoy! The America if George Bailey never lived.

A spokesman for Paul says the politician with a libertarian streak doesn't condone prostitution on a personal level. But, he says, "it's not the role of federal government and it's not in the constitution for federal government to regulate these things."The federal government doesn't regulate prostitution. That's why it's legal in Nevada, but banned in other states: The state governments can pass their own laws.
So this "it's not the role of federal government" line is a cop-out on telling us Ron Paul's view on legalized prostitution. Take a note: When politicians talk about how they "personally oppose" something morally unsavory like killing unborn children or selling women's bodies, it usually follows that they will never oppose its actual practice.
So now Paul has a brothel owner raising money for him. My, my, what charming people he attracts.

I always thought so. The states have different laws on prostitution; if the federal government regulated it, it would be uniform.

Politicians love carousing with whores. Back from 2005:
Porn star and former gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey will be joining her boss, Kick Ass Pictures president Mark Kulkis, in attending a dinner with President Bush in Washington, D.C. on June 14. Kulkis was invited to attend the event by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), which is organizing the event. Over a two-day course of NRCC events preceding the dinner, Carey and Kulkis will be attending a meeting with presidential advisor Karl Rove, giving their recommendations on important national issues.
Paul is a far more solid social conservative than Giuliani or many others prominent in the GOP. He's a pro-life ob/gyn, for goodness' sake.

Dumb question, but isn't prostitution regulated by the states and not the feds? I think there are a few federal laws regulating prostitution. I don't think Paul will go to the mat to get rid of them, he has other priorities.
