I just found this. I love this scene. Grits

Vinny's reaction to the grits is exactly how I'd be. Lol.

Hahahaha Great clip.

I like when the Grits Cook scoops out some lard and Vinny makes this weird face and asks...........”You guys down here ever hear about the ongoing cholesterol problem in this country?”

Pittsburgh, near enough to me, must be pleased not to be on the list. I think they were in the past.

I was surprised to see so many southern cities on the list.

I actually wasn't. Ever watch Paula Deen? I enjoy her show, but honestly, everything has lots of butter and mayo and is fried. I don't know if all southerners eat that way, I'm pretty sure they don't!, but apparently enough do! I've been to Florida and had many lovely meals that weren't like that. But who can pass up collards and cornbread and barbecue? Mmmmm, just can't find good collards and barbecue where I am without driving a couple hours. Maybe that's a good thing? ;-)

And Hyannisport?

Apparently, in Hyannisport at least, there's just the one fat guy...

Note that food prices are also a function of where you live.

You could both be right on this one, depending on your locations.

See #25 :)

Also she uses lots of cream.

LOL, sorry, I missed that one! I can feel the pounds add on just reading some of the recipes! I would like to try her restaurant, it would have to be ‘a hoot’, as Paula says. If I’m ever in the Savannah area, I’ll have to fast for a few days in advance just to have lunch!...

one good thing is i live pretty much in the central valley of California... lots of fruit and veggies out here... and we can easily grow a lot of our own... the prices i’m comparing are with items such as bread... you can get a loaf of white bread for a buck and change... but whole wheat bread is much more expensive... as i said, i am not complaining... the trade-off is worth it... plus, we are not eating out as much—which we used to do a lot of... not fast food (except for In-N-Out) but fine dining... so eating at home has definitely been definitely more cost effective... we can still cut back some... we are trying to keep it to once a week...

The only fat people you see in NYC are the “ethnic/people of color” from the outer boroughs. Most Manhattanites are thin. Remember also, that in NYC, people WALK.
