He is lover of State Power, pretending to be a conservative.

On Thanksgiving a conservative I know told me Huckabee is her candidate, and I think my jaw actually fell open. All she seemed to know about him was that he was pro-life and he "helps the poor"--to which I could only respond "With taxpayers' money."

What is it with conservatives falling for this guy?

But it is AR taxpayer money, and people in AR demand those programs. Even Faubus was accused of excessive spending.

You have to remember, MOST people — the VAST majority — do not interactively seek out information about candidates like you do by participating in FR. They form their beliefs around whatever the broadcast media fills their heads with.

That doesn’t make them dumb or lazy, mind you — it just means they have “trusted” the MSM to do their job, since they’re busy with other things — and the agenda-driven MSM has failed them in the most diabolical way.

Fortunately, each one of us freepers can educate... how many? 10? 100? just by stimulating discussion around the water cooler, at family reunions, conversations over the back fence, etc.

Word will get out and Huckabee will become known for what he is — a tax-and-spend populist liberal who happens to be pro-life.
