Rudy Giuliani told FOX News on Saturday that GOP rival Fred Thompson has "no record," after Thompson repeatedly took shots at Giuliani for supporting gun control legislation and bringing up his record as mayor of New York City on the campaign trail.
"Fred has no record to talk about ... I have a good record to talk about so I am very proud of it," Giuliani said while campaigning in Nashua, N.H. "If you didn't have a good record you would want to run away from it. And if you had no record at all, you would want to attack somebody else's record, which is what I think some of my opponents are doing. They don't have the record of results that I have so instead ... they attack you."
The accusation came after Thompson chided Giuliani Friday while visiting a New Hampshire gun store.
"(Giuliani) simply supported just about every gun control legislation that came down the pike. And I just disagree with him on that.... over the years and he's been very outspoken about it. Of course he's not outspoken about it anymore," Thompson told reporters with a smile. "It's a major differentiation. He relates everything to New York City ... Well, New York City is not emblematic of the rest of the country.

We know what Rudy’s record is, and it aint good.
And Fred would be right.
Rooty toot is starting to feel the heat...
Lots of things about Rudith's record are "not good."
IMHO, Rudy isn't the real threat for Thompson. Sooner or later, one of the candidates is going to use the "P" word (pervert) in describing Rudy and that will be the end of his campaign.
Will Rudy agree to take an HIV test and make the results public?
Fred’s lack of executive experience is a drawback, but it isn’t nearly as much of a problem as Rootys record.
Rooty currently has 11 lawsuits in the courts now against lawful gun manufacturers.
From Fox News....
IMHO, Thompson may have gone after Giuliani on guns because his recent slide in the polls now makes at least a third place finish in Iowa critical for Fred’s continued viability as a candidate.
That is very true, and fox supporters have been had.
Mrs. Clinton, as a senator from New York, has built a relationship with Mr. Murdoch over the years not only due to his role as an employer in her home state, but also because, as the hands-on owner of the Post, he can make life easier or harder for her (and for her husband, who has been a target of the tabloids gossip pages at times.) And Mr. Murdoch has reciprocated, throwing a fundraiser on Senator Clintons re-election campaign in 2006 and participating in Mr. Clintons annual philanthropic conference.
I forgot to mention that the quote of Murdoch in my post response # 11, is from today’s New York Times
Well, at least Fred has actually been to DC, He was a Senator for what, 8 years? But you are correct. Experience can be gained but records don't change.
I understand your dislike for Rudy, but almost every post you make makes some unintelligent anti -gay type message.
Many people here do not endorse the homosexual agenda, they do not want it becoming the norm, yet they still may have friends and family that happen to be gay.
Don't bother to respond because I will not give you or your posts the time of day, just realize that when you think you are insulting Rudy, you are actually insulting many people on this very site. You also remind me of a pre teen that thinks it is the ultimate insult to call their friends "gay".
Eleven. My, my. Rooty toot has been a busy little gun grabber, hasn't he!
And technically neither does Bernie Kerik.
Better to have no record than to have a well-documented track record as a radical leftist on most issues that Americans are really concerned about.
Sincerely,
Fred Thompson
Thats my understanding
I don't suppose we would be so lucky as to actually have a source on that?
Switching channels about this morning, they seem to be pushing Edwards stories alot.
