I doubt that you mean this!

And the sad thing is that your faith is based entirely on some creed made up by Romans with their gold rings, gold necklaces and gold coins from their Emporer.

I guess what they REALLY needed were GOLD PLATES!!!

So the only refutation you can come up with is some smarmy sneering comment? Your faith is as solid as a waft of gas!

I know you don't really want to talk to me, but I do have a few questions after watching your video link (thanks by the way).

Do you consider Mormonism to be a form of Gnosticism?

I under stand the cut off date and agree that you have to have a place where you stop adding to a specific compendium of Scripture. I also agree you need to have standards for adding books to your "Scriptures" for example, the "Gospel according to Judas" is probably a fake, but what about books that should have been in the old testament that were cut out, like the book of Enoch and the Book of Jasher (as found in the Dead sea scrolls) what is your take on why they were not included in Cannon, were they unknown at the time the councils were being held at Jamnia?

Here is an interesting article on the Council at Jasmina where the old testament was basically canonized. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/03267a.htm

The Book of Enoch (Henoch) is listed at http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01602a.htm>http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01602a.htm

I Said: If people get an answer and it testifies of Jesus Christ and his resurrection, they'll know I have been speaking the truth,

You Said: Care to explain that? How does an answer testifying of Christ and His resurrection indicate YOU are speaking truth? BTW, when speaking of Christ, it is customary to capitalize "His".

  1. I said they would receive an answer.
  2. I Have testified of Jesus Christ.
  3. If God testifies of the truths I have been saying, then how am I not supported and being a speaker of Truth?
Sorry about the missing capital H, I said I was a poor servant...

You also might want to read First John 4:2

You Said: You are a good salesman!

I Said: Sorry, you guessed wrong again.

You Said: I did NOT guess!

Yes, you did, for you cannot know what I am truly doing. This goes to the heart of the Hubris and ignorance that Antis' display toward us telling us what we believe, telling us what God thinks of us, damning us to hell for our faith in Jesus Christ. You don't know for you are not me, and you are not God.

You Said: I said what you are!

No, you guessed wrong.

You Said: ANYONE can see all the time and effort that you put into these threads, selling your brand of religion.

Thank you for recognizing the time and effort I have put in here.

You Said: If you claim that I am guessing again, you'll get reported to the AM!

Go ahead, I have done nothing wrong, they will laugh at you and tell you to stop telling me what I am doing and what I believe.

This is really funny, threatening to call the mods because I said you guessed wrong.

LOL! Hey, have you seen Christmas story?

I double dog dare you!

Acts 11:17
Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
I for one do not plan to withstand God, but submit in reverence to him who gave me life, liberty and Salvation.

Acts 16:9-18 ... I wonder if the poster will see the contrast? Proclaiming the Truth (as the maid with the spirit of Python, a soothsayer) and having the Truth indwelling the spirit (Lydia) are two very different things.

And a vision through the night appeared to Paul -- a certain man of Macedonia was standing, calling upon him, and saying, 'Having passed through to Macedonia, help us;'
and when he saw the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go forth to Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord hath called us to preach good news to them,
having set sail, therefore, from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, on the morrow also to Neapolis,
thence also to Philippi, which is a principal city of the part of Macedonia -- a colony. And we were in this city abiding certain days,
on the sabbath-day also we went forth outside of the city, by a river, where there used to be prayer, and having sat down, we were speaking to the women who came together,
and a certain woman, by name Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, worshipping God, was hearing, whose heart the Lord did open to attend to the things spoken by Paul;
and when she was baptized, and her household, she did call upon us, saying, 'If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, having entered into my house, remain;' and she constrained us.

And it came to pass in our going on to prayer, a certain maid, having a spirit of Python, did meet us, who brought much employment to her masters by soothsaying,
she having followed Paul and us, was crying, saying, 'These men are servants of the Most High God, who declare to us a way of salvation;'
and this she was doing for many days, but Paul having been grieved, and having turned, said to the spirit, 'I command thee, in the name of Jesus Christ, to come forth from her;' and it came forth the same hour.

You would be well advised to watch the explanations on the videos before making a further fool of yourself.

You would be well advised to watch out for your videos since they will probably go to prove the lengths to which you will go to try to prove that we are liars! Can you prove every word of those videos that I will not view? Or are they just more of your propaganda in the vein of Pravda?

It is telling that even a couple of videos of scholars explaining how the scriptures were derived is too frightening for a cult member to view. We really should not be surprised though, the entire campaign of Mormonism Apologetics is based upon sowing doubt regarding the autheniticity of the Bible (’as far as it is translated correctly ... a real laugh since their peepstone prophet pretended to make a ‘better’ translation of the King James Bible solely from the King James Bible and NO other text), sowing doubt on the trinity, and hiding the utterly irrational things at the foundation of Mormonism which are not shared with neophytes to Mormonism.

What is this—the unstaked thread that will not die?

OK, the founder of the laid-back Saints, Joseph Smith, jumped out a bedroom window to avoid a jealous husband, but forgot he was on the third floor and almost broke his git-along.

The close call made him think that maybe he should do some pre-paid funeral planning, so he went to see the local undertaker.

“For a man of your status, Mr. Smith, I suggest the gilded carriage with plumed black stallions, then a lead-lined vault . . .

Joe cut him off and said, “Something cheaper.”

“Well, then there’s our granite crypt with perpetual lilies and a mourner every . . .”

No. Cheaper.

“Mr. Smith, really! I suppose we could glue a rough pine-box together then just toss you into a hole in the ground!”

That will work. I’ll only need it for three days anyway . . .

I found it interesting in studying the New Testament to note that the tomb Jesus was taken to after His death on the cross was hewn for a man who was a member of the Jewish Sanhedrin before which Jesus was convicted of blasphemy! The spices for His embalming were paid for by the same Nicodemus who came to Jesus by night and we have the substance of the exchange regarding being Born Again! Old Nicodemus was also a member of that same Sanhedrin! NONE of the people involved in placing Jesus in that tomb in any way anticipated He was coming back out of there in three days! Oh, there was some belief that a resurrection of the righteous would happen in the distant future, but NO JEWS believed in immediate resurrection! The Sanhedrin leaders were suspecting Jesus’s followers of trying to steal the body so they demanded of Pilate that he place a seal on the tomb and soldiers to guard it!
