Very cool story but I have to say I’ve never heard of a breed called “blond heeler”.
So after looking up what a “heeler” is I see there is a breed called “Blue Heeler” aka Australian Cattle Dog. I wonder if this one is a bleached blond version?

She crawled back into her burning home in Idaho City, about 40 miles northeast of Boise. Anna followed her in, keeping close by her side.Hey Anna, your master is an IDIOT!

Rescuing a good dog is one of the finest things a person can do. I know; have two great rescue dogs, on half chocolate Lab and Weimaraner and the other half black Lab and pit.

Great story!!!
Although I think a better headline would have been “Rescued Canine Rescues Owner From Burning Mobile Home Twice” (yes, I, know it’s redundant).
As it reads now, it almost sounds like a dog had rescued it’s abusive owner.

"I'm a janitor in town," she told the Idaho Statesman. "I had everyone's keys in my backpack. I had to go back and get them." God bless both the owner and the dog, but I think the dog is smarter.

The headline had me thinking the dog rescued the person who had been abusing it.
Bad headline writer,bad,bad!

"But Jennings, an artist who has lived in the mountain town since 1975, said she became disoriented and was quickly overcome by smoke." I know a number of artists who are regularly disoriented and overcome by smoke, and then they get the munchies.

Grant Hawk, owner of the trailer park, said an electrical problem might have started the fire in the mobile home, which he said is a total loss. Bet one of the dogs ate through the insulation on a cord.
