LADSON, S.C. (AP) — White House hopeful Fred Thompson called his trip down an aisle of rifles, shotguns and pistols at a gun show "a day in paradise," while criticizing his leading opponents for past positions on gun control and abortion.
Talking to reporters later, Thompson singled out former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Giuliani "never met a gun-control bill he didn't like until he started to run for president and now I understand he very much approves of the Supreme Court taking jurisdiction of this Washington, D.C., case which most Second Amendment advocates think will establish that the Second Amendment means what it says and grants individual rights to people to possess firearms," Thompson said. "So, ah, maybe he's changed his mind about that, but his record is clear otherwise."

The tide is turning and no amount of bashing from the MSM, the Democrats and even the Republican RINOS will keep Fred Thompson from becoming our next great President!

He has a chance for at least HE answer's questions on the campaign trail with conviction and doesn't falter with them no matter what direction the wind is blowing.
He's impressive, VERY impressive.
Biggest trick to gun shows is knowing what kinds of things it makes any sense to try to buy at them. My general feeling is that 60% of what you see at them is overpriced junk.

That pesky MSM just harps away at his conviction however.

Agreed. I have bought a few nice rifles at the shows for a decent price (Springfield M1A1 Scout NIB - personal favorite), but there sure are a lot of folks out there looking to fleece those who don’t know.
I like to shop for reloading components at the shows...usually good deals. Ammo is getting way expensive!!
I don't support Giuliani anyway, but what exactly did he do after 9/11 besides provide moral support? I'm not discounting the importance of that, but I don't necessarily think it's earth-shaking; it's what he should have done, anyway, as Mayor of the city.

I, for one, would like to take it as a turning of the tide, but; I heard on FNC this afternoon that Chris Wallace will be jawboning Fred on Fox News Sunday tomorrow in regard to, what they call, his PLUMMETING poll standings.
Are they plummeting? News articles about Fred seem few and far between in my neck of the woods. Could be the MSM is just ignoring him.
It is simply not the race the MSM wants. FRED will not play their political games and they are going to treat him as though he were at the bottom of the heap and why he is wasting all their time?
The MSM wants a liberal in the White House, and they don’t care whether it is Hillary or Rudy or Romney or McCain. Huckabee is just a desperate reach for conservatives looking for a candidate. As soon as the PEOPLE see FRED and hear him speak from the heart, they will change their minds. It take a few weeks to see the polls follow the people. I personally think FRED is doing better all over the Country and the MSM simply ignores it.
Within the last two weeks FRED has received the endorsement of National Right to Life and many of the influential members of the NRA in many states. Who do you think the NRA will endorse of the candidates they have to choose from? Look at the committees FRED is setting up all over the Country. FRED is already running a National election.
I had just about decided to give up entirely on FoxNews, however, I want to see the look on their faces when the polls show what we all know in our hearts. FRED THOMPSON is going to run away with this entire election all the way to the White House with Jeri and the kids at his side.
WE THE PEOPLE must unite behind FRED DALTON THOMPSON because WE THE PEOPLE asked him to step up and he did.

A leader does not need to prop up his convictions with a photo-op.
