Contrast to "can I get me a 'huntin license here?" Kerry.

Anybody with the ability to give even a passing glance in the direction of sanity and coherence would not only vote an emphatic "NO!" to anything that smells vaguely like Kerry, but would bitch-slap him around the block sixteen times if given a chance.

And that's what troubles me greatly....that last election was SO freakin' close, even with an obvious pair of hysterical, Socialist girlie-men like Kerry / Edwards that I am embarrassed to say that I don't have faith in the American electorate anymore.  Even if we were able to clone George Washington, Ronald Reagan, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams or any of the Founding Fathers or stellar statesmen from America's past, I don't believe that any of them would be able to get a clear, decisive win anymore.  The number of utterly raving, barking moonbats infesting our great land is so voluminous, and their ability to commit election fraud so very easily places our country in great peril regardless of how excellent a candidate we might be able to run.

Fred Thompson would be a WONDERFUL candidate and probably a fantastic President....we would be VERY hard pressed to do better.  But it seems that the excellence of the candidate is nearly irrelevant to the electoral process anymore, considering the cognitive dissonance affecting so very many people.   "sigh"

Sorry about the rant....I'll go have a cookie and a glass of milk and I'll feel better   :-)
