That’s a bargain— get a whole semester out of the way at half-price.

Summer classes and night classes are such a good deal for serious students.

I got a full year, two semesters, of college French completed in about 8 weeks.
Many courses are better done by intense immersion rather than the 3 hour/15 week norm.

Nah. The joke was out on Kyle Field yesterday, and it wasn’t on the Aggies.

I think so. Franchione resigned less than an hour after beating Texas. I’m glad the game didn’t last two minutes longer.

Great move, but the professors will not like it if they were counting on having the summers off.

Summer school at A&M was a ton of fun when I went to school there. I would only take a few courses, and the campus was never crowded. The class sizes were also a lot smaller.
My girlfriends and I would take morning classes, and then hang out by the pool with our books in the afternoon.
The pace was so much slower than the regular summers.
I only went for 2 summers, but it was great!

Can you live in a dorm during the summer?

     Avg. Hi Avg. Lo
 June 92.0° F 72.0° F
 July 96.0° F 74.0° F
August 96.0° F 73.0° F So what in the summer of 1980 it was over 100° F for about 40 days straight, and I ran about 6-7 miles 4-5 times a week starting about 4 pm. I often ran by the pig farm which is now the location of the Bush presdential library.

Even if a professor taught both summer sessions, there’s plenty of time to take a long vacation either in May or August. How many people in the US outside of academia have the time to take month long vacations?

Heck I remember when the Mall in College Station was a cow pasture and living on the “edge” of town meant the Doux Chene Apartments.

Seems like just yesterday that I was paying $8 (yes, eight) per credit hour at TAMU.
