For pete’s sake. She is a middle-aged woman with grown children and an unfortunate hair style. She has obviously avoided the plastic surgeon. If she had not avoided the plastic surgeon, she would be criticized for that. You will see just as bad, if not worse, in any Walmart, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus or grocery store today. If Charles is happy with her, why does anyone else care? There really is no accounting for taste. And if somebody offered me the chance to wear some of George III’s diamonds, I would take it, too. I take it all the men commenting here look like Antonio Banderas dressed by Giorgio Armani.

Um, the bling is simply over the top. You would be hard pressed to put that on anyone and it look good. It is just in your face wealth. No grace. No elegance. All of which were her choices. Those choices are fair game to comment on.

Congratulations!

You’re a much better person than I am.

Enjoy yourself!

BTW, Angela, I happen to agree with you. This woman is in her 50s, and looks it.

So does most everybody in the world unless wealthy enough to go under the knife.

They were wrong to cheat on their spouses, though, and I suppose that fact has a great deal to do with the anger directed at her here. That is the bed they made for themselves. It is hard to be sympathetic to people who have broken vows so flagrantly.

Regards,

Suffice to say, how lovely it would be for someone to design an expensive dress for me to wear with & enhance my diamonds....(if I had any diamonds :^)

Camilla was the catalyst for Di & Charles ruinous marriage, pure & simple.

The comments here are revealing. Clearly Freeper men care only about looks and not the quality of the person. No wonder so many of them will be all alone tonight posting on the Lonely Hearts thread.

Flame away. I’m wearing my asbestos bikini.

I find loathesome the put-downs based on the appearance of human aging and general physical attractiveness. God created us as we are although we individually DO have considerable control over whether we maximize or minimize our attractiveness to others. But that’s all external. What’s on the inside is far more important.

Character is of highest value and one manifestation of virtue is modesty. If she had worn a high-neck dress in royal blue, jade green or crimson those jewels would have been stunning. Instead they merely call attention to the plunging neckline and thereabouts, cheapening both the person and the jewels.

Proverbs 31 describes the Virtuous Woman well.

Of Course!!! But in all seriousness, learn you best side and best smile and then present it to the camera. Unless of course you just do not give a damn. I always give points to both sexes who make and honest attempt to put their best foot forward.

Like I told a stripper who had very ugly breasts once. "you my think I am an ugly old guy, but I am not asking people to pay me for looking at me!" But in the end she won; I gave her money to go away.

Also, I will not wear a suit any more so the Armani's sit in the closet - I did my suit time in the 80's and 90's.

Thank God someone posted what I was thinking. Obviously, he has loved her for a very long time. The misfortune is that he wasn’t allowed to marry her way back when, they probably would have had many happy years together. The royals aren’t known for their stunning looks anyway. She fits right in, in a way that Diana never did, with her interest in hunting, riding, and outdoorsy stuff. I don’t condone their adultery at *all* but their love had endured for many decades.

Besides. Let’s teach our daughters that there are more important things than looks, ok?
