PRIME Minister John Howard has kicked off election day with his usual walk along Sydney Harbour.

Lets hope he pulls it off, for it is not just the aussies that need him, the world needs strong leaders like John Howard that appreciate the rich history of Australia and understands the threats we face as free nations.

When do the polls close ...?
6pm tonight, Australian Eastern Summer Time - about seven and a half hours from now.
So around 130 am US Eastern time....we should start to get an idea if Howard won....correct?
It depends on how close it is, but our polls close about 2am New York time, and we wouldn’t really expect much before 3am New York Time at the earliest - and only then if it’s a strong victory to one side or the other.
Let’s hope he pulls it off, indeed!!
Keep us posted and thanks!!
I thought Howard had said he was retiring?
If reelected, he will retire late in his next term, handing over to his Treasurer, Peter Costello.
OH MAN I don’t know if I could stay up for that late LOL!
