I think Nana is just about done. I helped her clean out the bird, and put it in the fridge. She’s chopped bell pepper and onion for the stuffing, and the yams have been prepped. I’ll probably peel potatoes in the morning...and she’ll put together dough for dinner rolls.

And you're from Maryland?.....Chesapeake Bay.....Little necks and Soft shells and Razor clams, though your oysters aren't a match for Long Island Blue Points you harvest a good crop this time of year.
I'd love to comb the beaches there for clams and hire out on an oyster boat for a share.....

Something about looking down the barrels of a breakaway double barrel 8 ga. shotgun you’re cleaning when you ask the “Dad Question”: “You will be a Gentelman and have her home on time?” Punctuated with snapping the barrels shut works too.

You guys joke...
The father of my son’s first date met him at the door holding a 1911. My son asked to see it, and field-stripped it.
That young lady was seriously messed up, I’m glad he didn’t try for a second date with her. She made the Goth kids look pure and wholesome.
