“God’s Word says that Solomon was the wealthiest and wisest ruler EVER? I believe God.”

Same here.

Rom.1:22

His disobediance to God was profound and his actions later in his life were definately unwise. Look at the book of Ecc. and you will see he died as a rather empty man and disavowed his persuit of wisdom as vanity. His attempt to secure his empire through marriage with foriegn women rather than trusting God was what eventually destroyed his family’s rule and led to the Jews being taken from the land.

Not to mention that his building projects help bankrupt his country and his forced labor program alienated his people.

God warned that if David’s line didn’t shape up, Solomon would be among the last of the successful Israeli kings.

Let’s see...

Hebrews left Egypt, with what they could carry...check!

Canaanites had long lived in The Land...check!

Hebrews instructed to kill the Canaanites, and inhabit their cities, live in their houses, reap their fields, eat from their trees, etc...check!

Joshua led the Hebrews on that deadly conquest...check!

Victorious Hebrews inserted themselves into the (mostly dead) Canaanite’s infrastructure...check!

Hebrews found it easier to continue to copy Canaanite work, while slowly, tentatively experimenting with their own styles for a longish period...quite likely!

Canaanite artifacts, rather than Hebrew artifacts, are found from that time period...DUH!

This PC crap is disgusting.

How they hate Christ ....

Would you rather they used the Jewish calendar, or the Chinese calendar, or how about this: the Arab calendar? The notations BCE and CE were instituted by scientists and are intended to be used internationally.

Most people in the world are not Christian, by the way. You were probably just unaware of this, so I forgive you.

We all did just fine for 2000 years with the calendar as BC and AD. Everyone knew what day it was. It was PC people that changed it to stick a finger in the eye of Christians. It’s true, most aren’t Christian in the world, but the largest religion is Christians. The ragheads are growing, but Bush may fix that before leaving office. What a pagan thinks the day is is actually pretty irrelevant.

Finkelstein is among those who also claims there’s no evidence for the Conquest — so duh! No.
