Why don’t they leave it to the people and let them vote. I would accept whatever the people vote for. I think that is how democracy works.
There's something you should know. We don't live in a democracy. Our form of government is a republic (you know like in The pledge of Allegiance, "and for the Republic, for which it stands,") Democracy is evil and to quote someone, who I don't know, "Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding on what they're going to eat for dinner."
